Bring him back! with Ospina as our sub!

    oopps.
i guess FC Kohl is a second division team. :(
But it seems it is one the best Bundesliga 2 teams..
Lukas Podolski who played in the World Cup was / is in the roster so it can't be such a bad team..

    Re: Return of the Mondragon

You know guys, I really dont understand what's the problem about keepers. this is the only position we dont have any problems at. Pinto HAS to put Ospina as the first keeper in the qualification, even at the age of 18. by his form, he's been the best keeper of us in the last 2 years. Zapata of course should be 2nd keeper, and Landazuri, Arenas, Brayan Lopez maybe even David Gonzalez can be the 3rd option. I would give up Mondragon (amazing keeper without no doubt, but come on, let's make a change and give the youngers the opportunity), Neko (I dont think he should be on the NT right now), Calero (what the hell happened to him in the Copa???) & Cordoba (his first game at Cali proved that he should have been retired and not to shame himself). my conclusion of all this: David Ospina needs to be the first choice, and I gamble of him to be in Europe in 3-4 years, like Peter Cech. This guy is amazing in the last 2 years that NAL coach gave him the first position.

perhaps you are correct, although I am not sure about Zapata, i have my doubts about him. I don't know about Ospina starting, he shat himself when we played that friendly against uruguay.

    Re: Return of the Mondragon

he came in at the 7th min and at 17 he had to stop a pk as his 1st moment at the NT.....

then Moreno-hurtado f'd up and made another pk.....

how were pks his fault??? what goalie stops them? a bad pk taken are the only ones stopped and the loco is a great pk taker.... so I dont see why ur putting the kid down. If he had the full team and started the game would ahve ended diff

    Re: Return of the Mondragon

we need someone with experience to practice with Ospina or whatever young keeper Pinto decides to call. Ospina needs breaking in, let him play all the friendlies, to gain confidence. But Pinto is too stubborn, he is not going to do it, so I hope he does call Mondragón. O. Córdoba has a better chance of returning to the NT than Calero, he is out.

    Re: Return of the Mondragon

I am not putting him down, I think Ospina will be our best keeper ever. I think, and hope, Ospina will surpass Higuita, Cordoba, Mondragon, everyone. I see Ospina being one the best keepers ever, but I don't think he is experienced enough for a national team qualifier. I think there should be someone with age and experience guiding him so he learn. Yes, the PK wasn't his fault, but regardless I still think he should be used for friendlies and not qualifiers. At least not yet.

    Re: Return of the Mondragon

he is playing against Bayern in a friendly and doing very well on Goltv

Anyone know why he lost his place to Calero???

Did he quit the NT or did Rueda just stop calling him(he is younger than calero by a few months so its not that he is too old)

Or was it that our fed was too cheap the pay for a trip from Germany or Turkey to Colombia

    Re: Return of the Mondragon

How long has Mondragon been in Europe now??? It has to be at 8 yrs right??? Like I said, his double duty as player/agent and his take no BS from the Federation(which is quite frequent) attitude cost him a more permanent and long career in our NT.

good to hear.... maybe he is trying to get most the sub 20 so after the Sudamericana in Jan of next year he can export alot of them

I think Mondragon has huge rep in turkey, most of europe because of his good champion league showings and now germany, and Argentina and can help him alot

I hope he signs Ibardo as I see him leaving right after the sub 20 WC
