Get some pictures for us then Mr Vexed!

I love pub team kits. Especially when they like have white shorts but you can tell one of the blokes has obviously washed them himself and shoved them all in with the red shirts so they now have to play in pink shorts for the rest of the season!!

it is standard procedure for everyone in a pub team to be wearing all the wrong kit.

Not necessarily. The standard procedure is they all have either wrong shorts, wrong socks, or both :p

yeah, thats what i love about sunday football, 22 overweight pub heads kicking lumps out of each other. holes in the goal nets. a ball absolutley covered in mud that is rock solid. a ref who seldomly moves from the centre circle due to last years quadrouple heart bypass, pre-match cigarettes, warmups consisting of everyone smashing the ball at the goal, half time oranges. waterbottles with water in it from 3 weeks earlier.

    ahhh i miss it all.

your pub team had oranges? now i feel left out, my team needs to dedicate a budget solely for half-time snacks.

I actually had a goal disallowed last year because it went through the corner of the net, and the stupid moron of a ref said it didn't go in.

If im ever out of my bed at that time on a Sunday morning i like to go and watch the games that are played by where i live. I have to say, i love it when they are so hung over they are still throwing up on the side of the pitch!!

Oh you gotta Vexed! I wouldn't change it for the world. In a strange way I prefer playing Sunday league to playing in the First Division - not because it's easier, just because it's fun and you get away with so much more. I think every game you play there's a story to tell!!

i'm happy to hear that the sunday morning pub teams in England are just as hung over as the American teams. There is nothing worse for a hang over than having to head away a cross from someone who can't chip the ball and just kicks it as hard as they can. Also, sweating tequila by halftime always makes for interesting talks of strategy

I like the Napoli jerseys also, but I also see the point of the person who said they should be a little darker.

Re the Pumas jersey: a long time ago a wise person on Big Soccer used 'Think before you post, it's the right thing to do' as his/her sig (it wasn't me). Sometimes a little research or a more politely phrased response makes you look like less of an idiot, eh? Pumas have had jerseys like that for at least as long as I've been aware of Mexican club soccer.

Right...you just complained that I suggested it was kept to "League teams only", but then you also complained that people are posting pics of "random league 3 spanish teams that only about 9 people have heard of".

This my friends, is a textbook case of a "contradiction" of one self ;)

He's been in Greece for about a decade, I guess he only needs to adjust to the cold.

thing is its a toss up between going out on saturday and getting bollocksed, or playing on a sunday, and im not sure i can give my saturday night sessions up. its too hard playing with a hangover, im too moody in the mornings, which is why i got banned in the first place.

i do miss the banter and the poor standard, saturday football is alright, but the travelling for away games used to get on my tits. so i took up drinking and smoking as a full time hobby.

i don't like it...i think its yet another case of a modern shirt trying to go somewhat old scool with a really ugly collar
