Im beginning to question whether Manchester city would be such a great idea for Nery. They are aquiring or looking in to acquiring a lot of forwards. It may not be as cut and dry for him to be a starter anymore.

nonsense, a premiership move would be great for anyone. if he got the same pitch time as he did in olympiakos last season in the EPL, he'll still be getting significant experience. given he's been a target since copa america, means they want him there to help out, not just to chisel (sp?) the roster out.

Im not saying that a move there wouldn't be good I just said It won't be as cut and dry. They're still out there trying to sign quite a few forwards and they already have quite a few of them there too.

I want him to move as much as they next guy, but he may have to fight for a position. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing...

If..Olympiakos accepted the offer from Shakhtar half hour ago (15-16mill).Now there are two options Nery agrees and goes to Ukraine or tommorow signs his new deal with Olympiakos(1.1p/y).This thing must end soon..im getting mad i cant relax lol

They accepted the transfer from Shakhtar? Damn Im sure Nery wasn't expecting that, maybe another team will come in and match their offer.

Yes they did.But Nery doesnt seem very possitive for now.I dont think another team can match Shakhtar's bid.I wonder where they find so much money.

I hope not. Ukraine would not be an improvement over Greece.

this blows, he's taking a step backward, atleast in my opnion and from what i've seen of some games, the greek league is FAR more competitive than the ukrainian... in fact, i'm gonna say that the brazilian and argentine leagues are more competitive than the ukraine league... don't get offended ukrainians, this is just from the few of your games i've seen.
i'm gonna give Nery a call.

i know shahktar runs a 4-3-3... but they already have like 6 or 7 strikers... ********. i don't like this one bit.

I don't like it either... At first am not going to lie, I did want Neyr out of Greece, but I wanted him to improve, therefore go to a better league, but now, I wish he stays in Olympiakos

Shakhtar has done fairly well in the transfer market too. I think they'll be alright this year.

I don't really see much of a difference between Shakhtar and Olympiacos, both are the best teams in their respective leagues, both are in the CL.

Hopefully Man City steps up their pursuit. I read on the Man City website today that they hoped to have him by their next preseason game, but it also said that it was for 8 million pounds.

    We'll see.

It sounds like a classic snowjob to drive up the bid from man city to me. You know, when you are looking for a house, and the realtor says, "there was someone looking at this morning and they really liked it, so you need to make a better offer"

Olimpiakos is doing the same thing.

Olympiakos done that.Shaktar made the first offer 8mil then City 10 then both 13 and Shaktar now 16.City doesnt seem to offer that kind of ammount.Remember that 16 mil are very very very big bid its not easy to offer those amounts of money nowdays.Nery between Shaktar and City of course he would choose City but he prefers Olympiakos over them it is obvious. The best for him is to sign the new contract withdraw the 25 /100 percentage of possible transfer that goes to him with just a bonus and move next summer to a bigger team with less money 8-12 mil.Of course he will have to play good to earn that.If he goes now to Shaktar earns 4mil for himself immediately and almost 2mil a year.Good money but lots steps back.

Looks like Olympiakos ended up stabbing Nery in the back. Shaktar is a good team but their league is ************.

as long as nery's not playing for arsenal, chivas, valencia, barca, roma, RM, AC Milan, Stuttgart, Bayern, and i'm sure i'm not mentioning some other teams that i care to follow, they're all a neutral move or a stepbackward in my book. therefore i only have this question for now; is he going to play today?
