Is that a wiki joke, Werder has no player with that name in the squad.
The rest is a great post.

Alberto is now allowed to play for Werder in all competitions.
The Brasilian FA gave the international permission. :)

Our new No. 13 Dusko Tosic has been added to the list! He made his first testgame for Werder against the danish club Esbjerg (1:1) and he did very well!

Carlos Alberto is a great addition, he has everything, pace, skill, shooting and a fierce attitude. He'll add the much needed second dimension to the bremen attack as last year's team was way too predictable.

I expect to see Alberto and Diego combine extremely well due to their similar style of play. I can't wait to see Alberto play, I expect a lot of firework at the Weserstadion this season.

A good Bremen can only be good for the Bundesliga. ;)

Yes man, that would be really great! But honestly I don't believe that we can stop Bayern... :(

For today's game, I think Harnik will be on the bench at first. But Maybe Dusko Tosic gets his first official appearance for us! I hope so because it is likely that this will be Schulz' last game for Werder... :(

i cant see us beating out Bayern this year....the best i am hoping for is that our key players (frings, Boro, Wome, Owo, Fritz) return from injury and make an immediate splash...i would like to progress out of the group stages of the CL, and make a good solid number 2 to Bayern this year who look to be steam rolling Germany this year

We signed Boenisch. Schulz is gone to Hannover.

I sort of missed Schulz. Although he did not perform well in the opening games, I still think he was a very reliable leftback. I prefer him over Wome actually (Schulz does his defensive job better), but he's left and I hope he can make an impact in Hannover.

A big weakness of Schulz is his speed.
This is nothing new, you could see it in many other matches before, too,
especially in matches against fast winger/striker.

I also think he will perform better in Hannover,
because Heckings system fits better to him (IMHO).

So now the list has been updated again. Thanks to Dead Fingers! :)

As for the newbies Boenisch and Tosic, both had a very good debut for Werder! Boenisch just played 10 min but his potential was viewable. Tosic fighted, made some good runs and his crosses are definetly better than Schulz' have ever been!

Werder to make a deal for Diego

Werder Bremen are looking to extend the stay of Diego at the Weser Stadion.

After the bad experience of losing Miroslav Klose, Bremen are set to put an improved offer to their star midfielder in order to keep him at the Weser Stadion for the foreseeable future.
The 22 year old is set to be offered a contract until 2012 which will earn him €4 million per year.
“The performance of the player has to be taken into consideration when making a contract offer” explained club manager Klaus Allofs.

Werder also offers Tim Wiese a contract extension until 2012.
KA expects, that the deal will be made perfect in October and
Wiese said about it: "Why should i leave? Bremen is a top club
    and i like it here."

But it was awesome how Valdez scored a great goal shortly after that incident. Valencia has always been a team of poor losers.

It was justice from Valdez to score twice against these mar...nes.
(It wasn´t only the players, but also the croud, that threw
    things like lighters at him).

I spoke with a Spanish friend (supports Barca) some days after the match
about it and he told me, "the people in Valencia are simply bad loosers".

They got their fair justice by struggling in the group stage.
