Dang, dude. How can you not post the interview! LOL

In an exclusive interview with FIFA.com, Castillo gives his side of a remarkable story and analyses Mexico's prospects for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa.

FIFA.com: Senor Castillo, Mexico madea huge splash at the Copa America but fell short of winning the title. How did that feel?
Nery Castillo: I felt sad because I was really excited about the possibility of winning the Copa with this team, and also the Gold Cup we played in a few weeks ago. We weren't able to be crowned champions but I'm at ease with myself because I know that I gave it everything and the rest of the squad did too. Even so, I think we could have gone even further. They were times when we played better than any other team in the competition and we were the most consistent. So, third place is a good achievement but we deserved more.

wow. I was sure he would stay in Greece. We can only hope that this is just a stepping stone for a bigger club for Nery. Who here really wants to root for Man City:rolleyes:

Nery will most likely stay in Greece. The article simply states that ManC has agreed to bid for Nery, not that Olympiakos has agreed to the terms.

No it says that City and Olympiacos have agreed to terms. Its up to Nery now.

Why the hell not man city anyhow. Man City is alright in my book and they are finally cutting the checks.

I really hope this deal goes through because then I will be able to watch Nery play more often, and in a more competitive league.

With City linked with the young forward seemingly every week, i thought i would venture into his homeland's forum to see what he is all about.

Playing Style, Possiblity of how he can adapt to the English Style, Is he a natural Goal Scorer, How does he play on the big stage, Speed, Physique Et Cetera, Et Cetera.

Youtube & Wikipedia can only tell you so much.

I appreciate your comments in advance.

I heard on ESPN Deportes that Manchester City and Olympiakos have reached a deal for this transfer. I don't know if this is true or not.

]Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has reportedly agreed a £10million fee with Olympiakos for Mexico striker Nery Castillo.

But new owner Thaksin Shinawatra has told Eriksson he must also look to Thailand for new signings.
The Daily Mirror claims City have agreed a deal with the Greek side for Castillo, who impressed during the recent Copa America, after a two-man delegation flew to Athens.

again the same..the first bid was rejected they made a new yesterday.Olympiakos didnt accepted .Castillo doesnt want to go too.Friday is the meeting with the president of Olympiakos so will see then. There are strong rumors though that Olympiakos gave the first option to Real Madrid ( next year) due to the good relationship of the two clubs.I dont know if that is known in Mexico.

Rumors are Valencia was offering 15 million Euro and that's the same as 10 million pounds pretty much. I would think Nery would pick Valencia first if given that option..

Sounds like it's going to take a little more then 15 million Euro or 10 million pounds for Nery.

I think that Castillo definitely wants to leave, it's just that he wants to go to a "big club" right away ... maybe that's why Olympiakos have rejected recent bids, they are waiting for the big fish to bid

If he goes to a big club like chelsea or Real he will be on the bench. He might have a chance at a starting role with Man City. And he will play in a better league then La Liga. Playing against Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, United, Tottenham. Man what a great league. Valencia wouldn't be bad either. Nery v Guardado
