six dead, four wounded, waiting on autopsies.......cant wait till the Goats come to town, easily my most fun fan experience at last years rumble, should be better this year. Matthias
It may not be quite the same as last year, since we won't have the player tunnel between our groups. That made for the "fun" chanting back and forth; if they are sitting in GA right next to us it may not happen as much or as colorful. Just a thought.
Good Point, you wont be able to hear the Chivas supporters as well if they are spread around....esp with La Porra as our re-enforcements. Go Blues! Theres no love between Arg and Mex.
Hopefully the attendance will be above 10,000 with the Chivas fans there...it will give the attendance bitches a week to find something else to complain about!
I don't think the Chivas bump will be as big as last year either. No Palencia, no Juan Pablo Garcia and a Sunday night game again.
I agree...it seems the attendance figures have been low compared to what it looked like at the stadium.
Actually I thought it looked about right. And while I won't waste my time defending our attendance on the various threads in the MLS forums, I was disappointed in the crowd last night. I know it was Sunday, it was warm, no discount tickets, etc. Still hard to say why it wasn't more than 7K.
FWIW, last night's game wasn't in any of the partial-season ticket packages. We must not have any walk-up crowd to speak of, at least not on a Sunday.
Holy crap! Every time we talk about words that even end with the letters 'ance' you have to put in your two cents about moving KC! Jeez, can't you just give it up and complain about Colorado? At least KC plays soccer. </sarcasm>
It looked like more on TV, thought the Cauldron looked a little slimmer than usual, at least during the first 10-15 minutes or so. Sounded great though
On a positive note, with any sort of luck, that should be the last time (barring weather) that we see attendance below 8000, because it was the last game of the season that is not part of a ticket package. Should see a mild bump from here on in. Again, barring weather.
Anybody going to practice tomorrow to see if we have some walking wounded leftovers? Also, since we are talking about this weekend's attendance.... http://kc.wizards.mlsnet.com/news/t...t_id=107681&vkey=news_kcw&fext=.jsp&team=t105 It's Hispanic Heritage Night AND Preki is back. I think big crowd!
I don't think Hispanic Heritage Night has ever been that great, plus it's always been for Chivas games. Preki being back isn't gonna do much of anything to raise attendance.
I'm sure most casual fans probably don't realize Preki is their coach. I do still think it will be a bigger crowd than normal because it's Chivas. I am hoping we top 10K.
