Man.City is playing in a better league but its not better than Olympiakos. He will go only for a competent team who chases championship and play in CL.
just that that lil statement in the rumour's section, hope that happen's TRANSFER RUMOURS But Eriksson is ready to fork out £10m for Olympiacos and Mexico forward Nery Castillo. (The Times) BBC SPORT | Football | Gossip | Thursday's gossip column
Yes please do it Sven. No offense to the Olympiacos fans and our greek friends, but if he moves to city, We here in the new world get to see him more often.
The newspapers today had rumours that Olympiacos offered 1.1 million(more than double) but he wanted 1.6 The other important thing, the president wants him to stay very much it seems. And when the president want someone to stay, nothing can stop him.For those who have heard about Socratis Kokalis The rumours conclude that on the next days,Castillo will sign his new contract, and he will stay,at least for one more year.....
How long would it take for some bloke to break Nery's legs in the EPL? I think he'd be better off in La Liga.
If he is going to transfer I believe he needs to go to a team that is going to give him more playing time in either the CL or the UEFA Cup so the major teams cans see him. If he can't get to any major competitions he is better off staying with Olympiakos. at least they are playing in the CL.
Former Fiorentina star Daniele Bertoni has urged his old club to go for Olympiacos ace Nery Castillo.
Re: Nery Castillo in Greek. Sure not.No greek name for him.He is not greek. But it is called here demonio and nintendo
I'm totally in favor of Nery (or any Mexican for that matter) going to one of the big 3 leagues. Olympiakos is good because of CL, but that guarantees only 4 games against top competition. what ifs... Nery with Fiorentina-will play against Milan, Inter, Roma, Juventus. Nery with City-will play against ManU, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool. Nery with Valencia- will play against Barcelona, Sevilla, RM...Valencia is also in CL or UEFA cup, confirm?
It's actually 6 games, 3 home and aways. And Olimpiakos gets third in the group, then they go to the UEFA Cup.
After I read what I wrote I knew I should've clarified... I say 4 because in the group stage there really is only 2 really good teams, the other two are hoping to catch a break and squeeze into second place, IMO. I know sometimes there are tough groups like Barca's last year, but its hardly the norm. I'm not trying to knock Olympiakos, but I'm looking at it from a selfish standpoint. I want Mexicans to make a name for themselves (in order to improve our NT), and I rather it be on one of the biggest stages (EPL, La Liga, Serie A). I believe there is a reason why lots of the CL winners reside in one of the 3. Sure, money gets the players, but I think a huge factor is the fact that they have to play a lot of quality teams week in and week out. ...thanks for the info Boosted.
BTW Fiorentina just got Vieri former Italy striker, he blows now but they got him now and am not sure if he'll be able to replace the big man Luca Toni
