1:3 and our exit from the U-20 WC. We played well, a perfect defensive counter-attacking game for the first 45 minutes. I think the Argies were scared that they might not make it....but they prevailed at the end, and probably were the better team and won deservedly. The goal to start the second half killed us, there was absolutely no way we could get back from that. Janczyk has proved to be one of the revelations of the tournament, Bialkowski as well. Over all I am happy with the performance, Bialkowski, Krol, maybe Strugarek, Fojut, Cywka, Krychowiak, perhaps Danch, Janczyk for sure will be solid for our senior team.

Anyway, congrats to the Argentinians, they won deservedly, and congrats to our boys for putting up a good fight; Janczyk probably one of the best players at this tournament.

it was a great game, the atmosphere was awesome...unreal polish fans, one of the best fan supports in the tournament.
The boys worked hard and it was good to see a few bright spots for the future. I really liked Janczyk and Krol. I expected more out of Cywka. I thought Strugarek wasn't as solid as most people see him.
Obviously the killer was the goal at the beginning of the 2nd half, but i thought we had very poor ball delivery off of corners and crosses and that it was draining for the players to see a shit ball come in after working so hard to work up the field.
I also thought our transition from defence to midfield, and midfield to offence could have been better, but maybe im over-analyzing.
Overall, no matter what the stats say, the first half was great for the team and showed a lot of potential for these guys in the future.
How'd you like the game Legionista ?

Despite the loss on Thursday I think many supporters of the Polish team can take a lot of positives out the tournament. It can be said that there is a good young crop of talent coming up through the ranks that will be contributing to the full senior squad in due time.

I think Janczyk, Bialkowski, Krol, Fojut and Krychowski were all solid in this tournament and will do well over the next few seasons at their respective clubs. We might even see some of these players playing for the national team sooner rather than later.

I agree with those who say the goal at the beginning of the second half was the back breaker. Poland seems to be a team that plays on confidence. They seemed confident until that second goal from Argentina. After that, they struggled to control any kind of possession and even when they did get into the final third, the service from the wings let them down.

Overall, I am very proud of the team. I hope these players are able to continue improving and getting better and better and better. There is hope for Poland's future!

 you liked it? maybe one of the best in the tournament but still crap compared to any decent league game at home. rare, quiet and basically just Polska Polska or jeszcze jeden and a roar after the goal. call that atmosphere? i cant agree

yea... we (bayern) had a chance at getting Kun, aka Sergio Aguero last summer but we passed him up because the club he was playing for in South American wanted 15-20 Euros for his transfer... we were willing to pay roughly 10 million Euros only so we pretty much said "fock off" and it came out that Atletico Madrid actually paid that ridiculous sum of money they were looking for and the rest is history. Aguero struggled at first but then got the hang of things and has been pretty good for the 1st team at Atletico Madrid. with Torres going out the door to Liverpool that opens the door at Atletico Madrid for Aguero to shine :) or at least have a better chance to

so when i saw Aguero was playing for Argentina in this tournament i was shocked and was like WTF?!?!? damn the argies are stacked for this tournament. no wonder why they are one of the favorites

i have a feeling aguero wont play for atletico for a long time. too crazy player for a mediocre club :D he was worth every penny and the worse thing is bayern could easily afford him.
from argentina i also like moralez. damn that kid i fast

nice pics mate... yea we should have got him last summer. BUT Bayern didn't want to spend money on another player that was unproven in Europe that would turn out like another Santa Cruz wasting up space on our bench and scoring in matches that mean nothing. so we foolishly passed up on this kid. ALSO, last summer at Bayern management didn't want to spend much money because they "thought" the club was pretty solid going into this past year. i'm glad they were wrong because we were using some scrubs this past year and were lucky to get 4th. we could have easily been worse off if it wasn't for Kahn having one heck of a year even though he is getting older. good thing is we spent money this year and i am extremely happy with what we brought in. this summer's transfer session at Bayern was like a birthday and christmas combined all in one!!! :) Altintop, Toni, Klose, Ribery, Sosa, Jansen and Ze Roberto I like a lot!!! and Schlaudraff will have to deal with a bench role until he gets dealt elsewhere for sale or loan

well the good thing is Aguero is very young and well in a few years Klose and Toni will be older, so we can always come get him later. a few more years experience couldn't hurt Aguero :D i like what you said and agree he will go onto bigger and better things, i hope management can lure him to Bayern but he could be elsewhere most likely in my opinion in Spain (at Barca/Real) or England (Liverpool most likely with Bentitez turning Pool into a fricken La Liga club, then probably ManU/Chelsea) , or possibly Italy (since Inter Milan is like Argentina to the east with all the NT stars they have from that country the past few years)

ive got better (but unfortunately no more goals). in the second one someone got in my way

as for bayern they were pretty active this window. i think ribery will fit in well, dont know for toni. wonder who wil play in the first line klose and podolski? toni and klose? maybe podolski with toni? schlaudraff will be the 4th striker so he can still get some playing time without leaving. like they bought him so they wont sell him right away ;) couldve bought a goalie though. think rensing ill manage when kahn leaves?

as for aguero yeah you can get him when he gets experience but then he wont cost a lousy 15 mil for sure :D

sorry don't want to make this a Bayern thread but i'll try and keep it short and to the point since this isn't my place for this

Hitzfeld has been using this for the past few friendlies and in training.

    -----------------Toni-------Klose-----------------
    ----Ribery---------------------------------Sosa---
    ------------Ze Roberto-------Van Bommel---------
    --Jansen------Demichelis----Lucio-----Lahm-------
    ----------------------Kahn-----------------------

GK: Rensing will get much more time than the past couple years, he has been a very good replacement when put in between the posts. He had two phenomenal matches against AC Milan the past two years in the Champions League with other good performances as well. many doubt him but i think he will do fine, he shows a ridiculous amount of great potential

D: Sagnol will be back and that will create competition for the LB spot between Jansen and Lahm. But it will also be good because we have a solid backup in Lahm or Altintop if Sagnol needs day off, or is not doing well, or whatever other reason. ALSO, Hitzfeld said 2 days ago he prefers Demichelis over Van Buyten or Ismael in the CB role next to Lucio

MF: Hitzfeld in same interview with Bayern press announced he favors Sosa and Ribery on the wings because they are interchangable and can play both sides depending on the situation. Altintop is a jack of all trades that was brought in to replace Brazzo as our utility player to step up if someone gets hurt or isn't playing well. In my opinion Altintop is much better than Brazzo. Also both Ze Roberto and Van Bommel will be used as deep lying playmakers that will be box-to-box pretty much both as holding midfielders trying to both cover for defensive purposes as well since we aren't using the pure DM since we sold Hargreaves to ManU and are using Demichelis as CB. Schweinsteiger once he comes back will be used more centrally because he is quick but doesn't have the pace to play the wings, but is an alternative on the flank if Sosa or Ribery get injured/need day off. Schweinsteiger will fight for a spot against the older Ze Roberto and Van Bommel.

FW: Luca Toni (if healthy) and Klose will be our starting two strikers up top.... then once healthy 3rd choice will be Podolski, 4th choice Schlaudraf, 5th choice Santa Cruz (probably will be sold by the end of the summer), and if Santa Cruz gets sold then from time to time Wagner (bayern reserve) or Ngat-Wahop (bayern youth) will be used

hope that helps... again sorry mates for the Bayern rant

i would have loved to seen that other pic if only it wasn't ruined by the fan, but again i can't blame him for enjoying the match

you cant expect much more sophisticated chants from a bunch of polish-canadians at an under 20 game in canada legionista sure it wasnt even comparable to the games in poland but you cant base the comparison on that, you can only compare it to the other games and teams in the tournament, and when you look at it that way, the fan support was by far the best to date.

i'm actually glad the the Polish fans in Canada were nothing like the 'real' Polish fans back home

last thing we need is to get our youth teams banned from international competitions
