I really dig the theme song! It is such an anti-corporate/superclub song. We can still stick with Union idea and use the song as a theme for our group. We are the team of the people, not the AEG ripoff machine.:D

Thanks for the enlightened input Fox!

I agree. I'd like to use the chant or song (Brick on the wall) as one of our many chants. As far as a name, I'm diggin' Union or District something.

I wouldn't mind calling our group the Union Boys. It has a link to the past and we aren't restricted by a specific theme.

i must agree that Union Boys is a great name. It can stand for the unity the club creates, and its a tie to the history of the club. I vote for Union Boys

I also like the "another brick on the wall" it will be great to chant this in a game

the union / union boys is cool and actually meaningful. plus, our team clearly stands out against the beckhamist wage disparities practiced by the other club in town - a labor-like name for our workman-like team.

someone mentioned district 5 - reminded me of horrible LAUSD politics haha

Anything with Union in sounds good to me.

For what it's worth sign me up as a Chivas fan. I've decided that I can't be a Glaxy fan with the Beckham hype, and despite spending most of my time in America in Boston I can't get a feel for the Revolution. so Chivas have perhaps their first English fan! (unless we play Crystal Palace USA in the Cup ...)

Welcome aboard, you're not the only one turned off by the hype surrounding our neighbors. I didn't even know there was a CPUSA... I'll check them out next trip to Maryland. And good luck your big club this season.

Welcome aboard CP we are always looking for real supporters. I think we may need to create a name the Union poll. Who's with me on this?

Hi lads--thanks for the welcome. I did see a bloke at the Revolution game wearing a Norwich City top, so maybe I'm not the only English fan! I'll be mostly watching on TV for the rest of the season, but it feels good to have found a team! Up the Goats!

Union Boys works for me. Or Union '05.

And as far as the song goes, that is a great one. It's one that everyone's familiar with and gets in a few good shots at the Gals.

    Nice work.

I'm with ya. I'm digging Union Boys/ The Union.

Personally, between those two names, I like The Union because it's has a wider branding appeal, it's doesn't sound sex-exclusive, and it sounds a bit more mature. Just my thoughts on it. But yeah, lets get a poll going.

While Union Boys sounds very Euro, it also sounds very YMCA if ya know what I mean....not that there's anything wrong with that - I'm just sayin'

I DO like The Union, Union 05, The District (with no affiliation to LAUSD).

I think a poll with the ones people have a agreed upon is the next step to narrow it down even further.

    HOW ABOUT UNION POSSE

Personally, anything with Union doesn't sound appealing to me... Perhaps something a little more catching or inspiring:

    The Kalifas Herd
    The Maverick
    Recusiant Posse

    "Union 2005"

    sounds great because....

    A couple of reasons
1.the word "Union" it has a meaning for all the chiva fans all over the world
    2. Before chivas existed, Club Union was the name of the team witch know is Chivas de Guadalajara
    3. Club Union was a club that had players from different nationalities just like Chivas usa
4.i think there’s no other word that that express the true feeling of the Red& White
as the word “UNION’’ and 2005 because that when these new passion was borne

this is just my opinion :)
