    Who is in:
Nery Castillo (he showed what he was made of)
Gerardo Torrado ( the glue that held the team)
    Rafael Marquez (pure class)
Andres Guardado (didnt have the best tournament but he was not awful)

These four are virtual locks to the world cup out of the Copa America and Copa Oro team.

    Who is out:
Omar Bravo ( no need for a long explanation, I just hope we dont see him wearing green again)
Alberto Medina ( no mas la raja contra el atlante y el queretaro)
Maza( i will get to that one later)
Bofo Bautista ( he got his chance and his chance is over)
Cuauthemoc Blanco (thanks for the memories)
    O. Sanchez (Dont let the door hit you in the ass)
Kikin Fonseca (we dont need a mascot anymore)

There might be more in this group of guys that need to be out, so feel free to add who you feel should get the boot. But these guys need to go. They have no class for the international game or are too old to keep going.

    Who needs a chance:
Aaron Galindo ( Better than Maza by a mile)
Mario Mendez (******** the lavolpista shit, he would have been better than israel castro)
    Giovanni dos Santos
    Carlos Vela
    Luis Angel Landin

In this bracket there are surely more guys that need a chance and deserve a chance. So add as you see fit. But these guys need to be called up. Aaron Galindo and Mario Mendez were needed in Venezuela. Magallon is alright but not good enough and Maza should not even be in the stadium.

Israel castro has shown security and strength in the right side thoughout the cup, so i dont see why replace him with Mendez. I dont recall Mendez adding anything memorable to the NT.

What about him makes you feel he deserves another chance?

agree on most; Torrado I do not feel he is part of that group of players who most probably will start everygame from now on till wc. Mario Mendez isn´t playing well lately and Landin (M. Landin wtf?) has to show us a lot more to even get called, I know we all want him to be Borgetti´s heir but the guy is very inconsistent.

Mario Mendez goes up and down the wings better than Castro for one. Mendez adds to the attack and can string more than two passes together. Is he world class probably not. But I think he should get another shot en el tri. He is not getting one cause he is a lavolpista :(

I had a brain fart and confuse miguel angel with luis angel.
Hey I have the periodic table of elements memorized and now you expect me to remember a guy who rode the pine. I think not;)

Anyway I just want Landin to get some serious playing time thats all. Look at campeon goleador Bravo. Maybe its the opposite with Landin.

All of the players that participated in the Gold Cup and Copa America will remain in the Mexican national team. Hence, I will venture to say that no one is out.

We must keep in mind that the bulk of the team now plays in Europe and we will have to play many games, friendlies, first round World Cup Qualifiers, with domestic talent.

Which is why we should expect to see more of Bravo and Medina, whom despite being disapointing at Copa America can get the job done against CONCACAF minnows.

However, there looms a question mark over a few players, mostly the ones that left under a cloud of suspicion: Kikin Fonseca, Carlos Salcido, Pavel Pardo and Ricardo Osorio.

Hugo has done well to keep the locker room problems internal and only time will tell if any of the above mentioned players have fallen out of favor.

With only a handful of friendlies to play before the year comes to and end we can expect to have a better idea of what the B'team will look like. The likes of Cuauhtemoc, Borgetti and even Kikin still have drawing power and their call up's, for obvious reasons, should not cloud our minds as to what Hugo has in store.

What will be interesting is if Hugo will take command of the U-23 squad that will play Olympic qualifiers, and then Olympics. This is the next important tourney in line for el Tri . Jesus Ramirez could very well handle the task but it would make more sense for Hugo to coach the team.

New players will surely emerge during the new Mexican league season and only then can we expect some of the current crop of players to get bumped down.

    Aguante Hugo ~

I do not know why a lot of people continue to say that Torrado is not MNT quality, he is very consistent and has shown during the summer that he can hold the fort down, with or w/o Pardo. Lets give props where props are due, I just don't understand it. BTW, again Hugo's tactics did not show last night, I almost cried when I saw the changes he made....he made drastic changes as if we were down 2-0 at half....all we needed was one goal to get back in the game, we needed stronger help in the midfield....I'm sorry but I just don't see our game getting better with Hugo, our players will continue to improve but Hugo's coaching will bring them down a notch in MNT games.....thanks

I think Cacho proved that he more than belonged on the NT even if it's just as a backup, but at this point I don't know who else I would start over him.

I don't agree with Cuauhtemoc being out. Sure, he's old and getting very slow, but he's obviously one of our best free kickers, plus, since he gets hit a lot, we get more chances to score. As far as everyone else that you mentioned goes, I agree. I've never like Bravo and Oswaldo at all, and that remains true.

Torrado is someone that I also don't like. I just don't like how he plays most of the time. I think he's probably one of the most inconsistent players in el tri. He's giving balls away left and right, as does Arce.

I think Hugo needs to give Landin more playing time. I mean seriously, he puts in Bravo who has shown nothing in both Copa America and the Gold Cup. He scores two goals, but nothing spectacular, both goals were a given and had he missed them, he'd deserve to hanged. :p

what? cuatemoc should have been gone a long time ago. torrado was arguably the second or third best player int the tournament for mexico.bravo scored 3 goals in 3 apperances. Landin hasnt proved anything yet to be starting over bravo. maybe by the end of next season we will know what landin is capable of since he will be a starter in morelia

I dont know if the olympics are a big tournament, but it is something worth winning. Besides the best part of the olympics is the football.
