    Zhu played him only in the first half reserve team that had 5 HK players. The starting team played the second half without Dong.

    I'm more than a bit surprised at how cheap tickets are for this...The most expensive tickets for China's group stage games in Malaysia are under RMB70, wtf? Do Malaysians really make that much less than Chinese? I think the cheapest tickets in BJ were RMB125 or so and the best seats were RMB600-800 or more...

    Who sets the prices? Was it just the case of CFA screwing over the fans once again?

    You know, 5 years ago, when we qualified for the World Cup, we had a team that would have crushed teams like Malaysia 3-0, home or away. However, I am not so confident that such is the case today.

    Our Asian Cup opener will be in Malaysia, which means our opponent will get home field advantage. I think we'd be lucky to draw the home side. Trust me, I am sad to say this. It seems that China is having trouble against teams like Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. This is an indication of a dramatic decline from 5 years ago.

    Don't be so pessimistic. China actually do well in Asian Cup. Their problem isn't not winning, its winning the the cup.
    Malaysia with home court advantage will still be Malaysia. Not a transformed super footballers from mars. :D
    No offense to any Malaysians but a team of your caliber can only go so far.

    We also don't play well against Korea. Hell, we don't play well against half the world. It still don't make us a worse team than Malaysia. Keep your mood up! Not to mention most of Malaysia's old squad are injuried or out of form. Their young players are untested.

    Anta, Anything is possible! 一切既有可能.

    I think our current squad is much better than the 2004 squad. We have some very good young players like Zhou Haibin, Zhou Xuri, Dong. We also have some good and experienced players like Sun Jihai, Shao Jiayi . I mean we really need to put these together in order to go far. The only think that can bring us down is lack of teamwork in our team and the mentality of the players. WE have the ability to win against every opponent in the asian cup. But in terms of teamwork , we are one of the worst. Just hope that retard coach will really really really put up a formation and tactic and mentality that really works for us or else it is just another waste of time for our young players. I just hope Zhou Haibin, Zhou Xuri, Dong , Sun Jihai and Shao Jiayi will bring us glory this time.

    Sun jihai is the only one that i trust at the moment. He doesn't ******** up and play on no matter what the score line is, Zhen Zhi lacks pace and passion at times. Dong is way too young and people put too much hope into him, if he stuffs up like Chen did at basketball world championship then hes gonna get burned.

    I rather have Zhu than some foreign fool who can't even speak Chinese trying to communicate to the team. I was watching live cast of Chinese basketball team playing and the coach given like a 5 min speech on tactic and the ********ing translator just said "Ok, calm down you guys". what the ********, i swear those ********ing people at the top better ********ing sort this out or go eat some brown bear S H I T.

    which teams do you guys want China to face? Personally I really hope we can face Japan since it is always interesting to meet them again because last time we lost in the final. Also it would be good to face Australia since they are new and is a different style of play. Also Korea would be good since we never beat them, it would be very interesting too.

    Step #1: Score a goal.
    Step #2: Earn a point.
    Step #3: Win a match.

    We have a strong squad in the players. But the coach Zhu is very erratic. Don't be surprised if he decides to play Dong Fangzhuo as the starting goalkeeper.

    prediction: team China Line Up (4-2-3-1)

    ------------------------------Han Peng----------------------------------
    --Mao Jianqing-------------Shao Jiayi------------Dong Fangzhuo----------
    -----------------Zhou Haibing-------Zheng Zhi(c)------------------------
    ---Sun Xiang---------Zhang Yaokun--------Li Weifeng------Sun Jihai------
    --------------------------Li Leilei----------------------------------------

    if Dong Fangzhuo replace Han Peng as striker, Zhao Xuri will play right wing attacking middle fields

    My prediction is similar to yours. But I think Dong will be on the bench. Zhu Ting or Wang Dong plays right wing.

    Dong should partner Han Peng up front. Dong is never a winger , let's hope this is not the starting formation. But the problem is look like we don't have any wingers. Should have bring Yu Hai and Gao Lin into the squad!!! I would put up a formation like this with the current players that we have:

    `````````````````Han Peng ---- Dong Fongzou``````````````
    ````````---Shao Jaiyi--------Zhou Xuri------- Zheng Zhi``````
    ````````````````````````Zhou Haibin``````````````````
    ````Sun Xiang--Du Wei(yeah he is a little shaky)--Fu cking Li weifeng-- Sun
    `````````````````````` Li Leilei
    We win the group and be C1... D2 is... Indonesia... so we kick their asses for abusing the Chinese living in Indonesia, onto the Semis where we play (A2-B1) Vietnam, we kick our cousins asses and move onto the finals where we FINALLY in the 3rd try DESTROY IRAQ...
    CHINA MUST WIN
    CHINA MUST WIN
    ...jk... from the results so far I'd say a draw in the first game is an acceptable result. We are playing a team at their home, they have pride and also the expectation would be for us to win so they really don't have that much to lose. They will def come out and play hard.
