Sorry, I got to disagree. I thought that TT had his best game of the Copa America. I'd give him a 6, and tell him to keep it up...:)

BB decided to go with the vaunted Holy Grail attack, consisting of "run away!"

Must delete that from the playbook...

Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia: The Attack[R]

Johnson can contribute if used correctly. It would be a bad move to eliminate him from the pool of forwards, especially given our other options at this point.

Now Twellman on the other hand...

EJ = Davies = fast black guy with poor footskills

    Gomez = awful

Nguyen = quick and good footskills. Maybe too small.

    attack?

you call feeding the ball to EJ on the left then watching him misplay or lose the ball an attack?

    I, sir, do not.

The attack? I'm sorry, were we all watching the same match? The attack was left in the hotel room and didn't make an appearance at the stadium all night. If this game lasted until Sunday we still wouldn't have a single shot on goal or even look like scoring.

Davies looked good. Nguyen looked much better, and Gaven looked pretty good feeding the frontrunners.

I'm done with Twellman and Johnson. They can stay in the pool, but they're in the shallow end with floaties on their arms. At this point, I'm happy to go with a 1 forward formation and put three attacking midfielders behind them. For now, that forward is Ching.

Your assesment of Davies is pretty bad. he has alot more footskills than eddie johnson. He only had a couple oppurtunities to show this but he did show he has more than the eddie johnson backpass.

Davies Shows he knows how to jump up when he cant stay down and get a penalty... Two Times... First Time he Should've Finished...Second Time he should've stayed down

Edward Johnson.....Blah Blah Blah... Ya he Should Run at Defenders More(2-3Defending him)....Man He Should've Done better When Davies Beat the GoalKeeper....As i stated before Davies should've Finished that show low/hard when he brought it down not dribbled around...Back to EJ... What was he pose to do? Col Saw there Goalie was out of the Net so they bunched the box.. He did the Right thing

Ed Johnson, Omg YOU SUCK BLAH BLAH BLAH... If you look at MLS/US NAT team... It looks as if bradley is giving the lad directions to hold the ball up for the midfielders to get in attack... We played no long balls or thru balls.. Looked more of Hold the ball up for others..

Say what you want about EJ, I think its the coaching seriously.

The only way Johnson could get the ball today was by heading out toward the corner flag - and when he got there, there were usually multiple defenders there as well. About what you'd expect with a Clark-Beckerman pairing in central midfield.

When Davies came on for the (again mediocre) Mapp, it was the first time Johnson had any real help during the whole tournament. It would have been nice to see them together for more than seven minutes total.

We need forwards, not only track men or athletes.
We need agile forwards with good skill. agile+quick, not only fast.
Why do we always lack forward? B/c in youth soccer, many coaches prefer big fast man in front and play simple direct ball, they can win games with this way.

I'm sick of hearing how fast Johnson is. He needs a good ten yards to get his engine going. That's not fast on a soccer field.
