Well it certainly is. I even tried to reped two others so that I could rep Horsehead. I tried to rep u first but again i could not. How many different persons you have to spread before repping one again? I am surprised as i thought only one was needed. Anyway, I am pretty sure Horsehead knows we all appreciate her work.

I must spread, too...but Horsey, that video was awesome, as they all were this season, thanks a lot. Watching that I noticed that Ramos is just fearless, Robinho worked very hard, and Capello did not smile until after the third goal, smart man....I'm super hyped all over again...what a great season!!

Guys, is it me or were the Mallorca players TOO HYPED up for this game???

I guess the payout of 100,000E was true.

And that Cule scum Maxi Lopez was always kicking out, I guess Laporta promised to remane the Camp Nou after him if he scored.

    Campeones Cule scum!

So I was wondering what was on Canna's italian flag after the final whistle so I did a little reserach

I'm not sure if this is it but it sure looks like it

The symbol of fascism, in its original Italian incarnation under Benito Mussolini, and which gave fascism its name, was the fasces. This is an ancient Roman symbol of power carried by lictors in front of magistrates: a bundle of sticks, which included an axe indicating the power over life and death.

Does he know what it meant? During the match I saw a flag similar to the one he used being waved by the ultras sur

An Italian will surely know of something that originated in his country ;)

Before we go all out you better find out whether this really was the symbol on his flag.

Fabio Cannavaro unfortunately unfurling a fascist flag

... I'm sure. Clip from the celebrations at the Bernabeu where Canna waves the flag

According to one of the comments on that vid, he took the Italian Flag that the Ultras used but didn't see that symbol and aplogized. I hope he's telling the truth but seriously, he was waving it in front of his face, how could he not see it?

EDIT: I just saw the entire clip, some of the parts of the vid were uncalled for

You may now go all out then! This is seriously unfortunate. I really hope he didn't see the symbol and that his apology is sincere! :(

I don't know... But like I said waving that flag was very unfortunate and I do hope he didn't see the symbol on it and that his apology is sincere. What we don't need is fascism linked with Real Madrid once again.

like it or not, its part of real madrid's history, its in its DNA. Surely most of the newer fans knew this in the beggining?

Out of all the posts you have gratified our soccer forum with in the past few months, not one of them has indicated intellect, or a devoted process of rationalisation behind it.
It takes an idiot to find an idiot - based on what I can derive from your post.

Canna had just won a title, he was ecstatic, it was a flag, it was Italian.

I mean the guy is from Napoli for gods sake!?!? The only thing fascist down there are the wives.

Please. As a Madrid fan you surely have to know MUCH of the facist links we supposedly had, are hugely exaggerated and distorted.

    DNA? Pfft

IMO I think Canna was genuine in his apologies; that type of euphoria makes only the biggest images obvious; the flag in his hands was probably just an Italia blur :)

Look, if you look at the video carefully, Cannavaro does not even look at the flag. I am sure he did not even notice that the flag had an axe on it.

So to wave with fascist flag is ok? Hm nice to know what kind of people are in this board. I'm sure if someone from Barca would do such a thing, you would tear him apart. It's the same as he would be waving nazi flag. And don't tell me he didn't know, he's stupid not blind. Tell me what is the difference between waving fascist( nazi) flag in front of 80000 people or salute your fascist supporters. Fu*k him , my family sufferd alot during fascist regime and the last thing i want is someone from Real vawing this flag on the pitch. But if it's ok with you...

Yes, it's OK to have a fascist on the team... every team needs at least one. It's like having a gay aunt or uncle... every family has one.

I didn't notice it either when I first watched the celebrations a few days ago, but after viewing that is does stick out like a sore thumb especially with the white background so you think Canna must of at least caught a glimpse of it.
I don't buy he didn't notice the symbol, fact is Italian football goes hand in hand with politics, it's a unfortunate situation, it's not only the fools like Di Canio, but you would be surprized how many players have leanings towards the left (Lucarelli) or the right (Buffon, Materazzi) wing of politics. Even Capello himself is supposedly a staunch righty.

I never paid much attention, but Canna is well known fascist. . But I'm sure he didn't know what the sign on the flag was ;) Also Buffon was once seen with some t-shirt with fascist simbol.
