According to "O Jogo", Diadora will replace Airness as our sport sponsor.

And Saganowski (Troyes player but was loaned to Southampton at January) is on its way to Boavista.
Another possibility is the polish compatriot Sikora.

I have trouble finding out who is Sikora though...any info on him?

According some old news back to 30th May from "Record", Boavista is interested in Armando Sá, which Leeds contract ended recently.

Gilberto that was on loan last season to Penalva do Castelo, Ivan Santos and Ricardo Neves are going to be promoted to first team.

We're 2nd best in Portugal when it comes to school formation but in the last years we didn't take a bet on them. Glad to see that is changing this year.

He's a good player and if V. Guimaraes hadn't dropped division , he might have not left them. Damn , Boavista is almost a Polish club now :)

I'm not so sure about him coming as he stated to SkyNews that he wants to stay in England. Only Championship clubs are after him though...let's see.

    uma informacao por favor:
as austrian who has to be ashamed of our national team which sucks for years i ve got a question concerning Roland Linz. This guy plays the biggest shit of all (maybe because they don`t serve him with wide balls from the wingers) - how did he perform at Porto? i read that they wanna sell him (because they need money? because he isn`t good enough?) - are there other portuguese times interested in signing Linz?

Quite well to be honest. He scored 11 goals this season which was quite good taking in consideration the team's crappy performance. He will stay another year at Boavista or go to a bigger club. So as you see, he doesn't stink at all or at least people in this country don't think so.

And by the way, he plays in Boavista.

desculpa, i thought Boavista is a club located in Porto, didn`t mean he would play for FC... back in austria he always played for teams i don`t like so I have no special thoughts about him but heard that he does well and scores in portugal. i think he doesn`t get the passes he needs for his style of the game in the national team.
muito obrigado & I wish you a better next season for Boavista!

You're correct. It's a matter of habit to link Porto and FC Porto . Similar to FC barcelona and Espanyol situation.

    Hello my Portugese friends...

My favorite club as well as my hometown club of Red Star Belgrade is being linked with a player from Boavista FC.

His name, in Serbian spelling is Žoao Nuno da Silva Kardozo.

I make this out to be in English, João Nuno da Silva Cardoso.. they say his nickname is Lucas.

If there is such a player, can you tell me more about him. I don't expect him to be a great player as Red Star does not have that big of a budget, but I would really appreciate it if you guys could tell me something about him. It states in the article that he played 28 games as a "vezni igrac," which means midfielder in Serbian for Boavista last season.

    Thanks...

    Cheers!

He is a hardworking midfielder which fuction is to recover balls or make the transition defense/attack (unfortunately he's not very good at it). To be honest I find him average but useful when the teams needs dynamic.

    Hope this helped somewhat. ;)

Well he's decent so that makes him a club target... We don't have the money of CSKA Moscow and other Russian clubs to buy big time players..

We're also being linked with an Ecuadorian forward, that's supposedly the best in their league.

    Thanks.

Today Portugese midfielder Lukas, has joined Red Star Belgrade on a three year contract. He comes from Boavista, and there he played the role of defensive midfielder. He played 28 times for the Portugese side last season.

This in my opinion is a good addition to the squad ever since the departure of Nenad Kovacevic, last summer for Lens. We haven't had a defensive mid since then and a player of this type was needed. I'm not sure he will start, but hopefully he turns into a player we can count on.

I expect him to do well at Red Star. That's a great move for him as well.

Chelsea and Manchester United have their eye on Aliu Djaló, more known as Kaby, adoptive son of Bóbó. He is a playmaker and is a citizen of Cape-Verde.

According to "A Bola", Boavista is about to hire 2 or 3 serbian players, due to the partnership with the spanish group Inverfutbol. Meanwhile, the polish press give as certain the name of Pawel Strak (from GKS Belchatow) as a the new player of Boavista.

I honestly don't like the way this is heading...

Yep, and he adopted a kid from Cape-Verde :p I was referring the kid being a playmaker and Cape-Verde citizen and not Bóbó.

Anyway, "A Bola" says that Cristian Riveros, a regular player for the Paraguay nt, is almost setting everything with Boavista. He's rumoured to be the next successor of Carlos Paredes (currently playing for Sporting).

After Gilberto and Ivan Santos, Bruno Pinheiro that was loaned last year to Ribeirão was promoted to the seniors team. Glad to see we're betting on the youth.

Since Boavista promoted 3 players from the seniors I'm a little bit more relaxed about whoever comes along. And apparently they want to bet in foreign youth too.
After the 21 year old Cristian Riveros, held as the new successor of Carlos Paredes, comes the name of Stjepanovic. 19 year old striker that is a regular player for the U-21 of Montenegro and national champion of his country (Zeta).

Boavista just signed the ex-Benfica player Edgar after 9 seasons in the spanish football representing Malaga.

    http://www.record.pt/noticia.asp?id=749061&idCanal=12

This is good if Linz happens to stay at the club and we hire that montenegro kid. But Fary is staying in Boavista for sure which is something i don't understand. Is it possible we're going to have 4 strikers this season? It would be something completely new in this team's history.

I've seen him playing for Malaga. He's nowhere near as good as he was then with Benfica. I don't know what happened to him in the Costa del Sol

We'll have to see about that, he's a Boavista player now. Honestly, I still want Linz (if he stays) to be in the lineup.

Boavista is after some players in Partizan. Their first choice is Nebojsa Marinkovic, and if they don't happen to get him, then Milos Bosancic is the man that follows.
