Scanning the rosters of the USL teams this year has unearthed the following former Revs plying their trade in the lower US divisions. If I missed any, please let me know and I will add them.

No way, I remember the Kante bro's, came in right about the time Joseph did, cool guys. They, Brian Kamler, and Kyle Singer were the main coaches at the Revs Academy....maybe that's why I'm no good at soccer now:p

Just saw Easton Wilson play last weekend.

He's seems like a pretty skillfull player but it kind of boggles my mind why Nicol ever drafted him... He is calm on the ball and made some good passes but otherwise he didn't impress me really at all. But I guess I should question Nicol's drafting ability though..

Looking forward to seeing him play the rest of the season though to what he can do (at least in USL 2:p )...

Sometimes a guy will get drafted as coverage for training camp injuries or to be sure to have training camp bodies. Also, being a semi-local guy, he was probably drafted primarily as a reserve team/developmental player. Maybe the UConn coaches touted him as having some potential. Whatever, he was a pretty low pick.

Not much to report this week. Edozian, Bagley, Vercollone, and Klein seem to be getting regular minutes in the USL1. Kante started and played a full 90 this week and Wilson hasn't yet missed a minute in the USL2.

Im just glad to see Luke actually playing, instead of being a bench warmer and coming in for about 3 mins a game if he was lucky!

I thought Nicol was going to keep him on our roster, but I guess not.
    Just glad hes still playing!

FYI the Battery is doing a charity date action with some players and members of the dance team on June 28 at a local drinking establishment (Mad River on Market street) I'm pretty sure Luke will be one of the "hot" commodities.

He wanted out. Wanted to go somewhere where he'd get playing time.
Luke, be afraid. Be VERY afraid.

That should be capitalized and a period should end that sentence.;)

BTW, how's Luke's form been down there in Charleston?

We thought Luke scored his first a couple weeks ago but was denied by the ref with a dubious offside call. He has been starting most matches and giving it 110% every match. He is usually subbed out around the 60-70 min. to maintain some speed on the wings. he is a fan favorite and is easy to approach and talk to after the match up in the pub, even if he and Gavin Glinton made my then 3-year-old son cry at the players appreciation picnic last summer....

We have some goal scorers since our last update. Ian Fuller has scored his second goal of the season despite only playing in 119 minutes over 2 games. Edozian scored an important game-winner for Carolina. And in USL2, Jamie Holmes scored his first goal to go along with an assist in just 142 minutes over 3 games.

We have some goal scorers since our last update. Edozian scored a brace for Carolina. And in USL2, Easton Wilson scored a second for Western Mass. Edozian, Bagley, Vercollone, and Klein are all getting regular minutes in USL1. Tsakaris is no longer on the Montreal roster (never appeared in a game either). In the USL2, only Easton Wilson looks to be a regular starter, but Kante is playing alot lately.

As Jayfil pointed out, Edozian won Player of the Week honors in USL1 and Kante made the Team of the Week in USL2.

luke scored two in the Battery's USOC match on Tuesday. Really nice goals and I hope it opens his account for the rest of the season. Luke also has really stepped it up this season from last season. In fact he seems to be getting better each match.

Ian unfortunately pulled a hamstring a couple weeks ago in Minnesota. Looks like he will be out for another 5 weeks or so. He was looking really good too with three shots on goal, two goals and one assit in his limited minutes.

Vercollone scored another goal for the Battery on July 22 against the Portland Timbers

not sure if it will work but here is the highlights from that match on usllive.com

Also found this Article from a couple days ago about Luke Vercollone
    In the Game

Finally, Fuller got his first minutes in the same match after hurting his hamstring a few weeks ago. Unfortuantely he was subbed at the 14 min for the same injury. Not sure of the extent of it or if it was more a precautionary thing.

I caught the Charleston-Houston USOC game online and was impressed with Luke. His skills on the ball seemed good as did his awareness. If I remember correctly, he was playing left midfield...

I saw Ibrahim Kante play a couple of weeks ago. I never realized how big that guy was. He's a freakin monster in the back for CP Baltimore.

I thought he used to be an attacking player for the Revs? (or at least a reserve for that role)?

They must just use him for his size in the back now in that division. It was almost impossible to get anything past him.
