Hey, does anyone know for sure when the Jerseys and Scarves will be made available?

I heard a rumor that it won't be until late June. Not to sound like an old man, but after that cold bitter game last weekend, I think we would all benefit from the extra layers.

Besides, can you think of a better way to advertise the team other than wearing your support gear to work...

Bruiser the fact that you heard late June is more info than we have gotten so far. I'm with you I want a scarf. Mike from the Victory was looking into it and said he would let us know when he knows.

My girlfriend knitted me a blue and white Victory scarf that I wore to the Necaxa match. It's a temporary alternative. She can knit one in a day or two. If people are interested, PM me.

Ask her what she'd sell them for...

Just received an e-mail from the USL today regarding league-wide merchandise.

If you go to the link below you can design your own gear with the Victory logo.

    Cheers!

Not jerseys or scarves though, as far as I can see.

Looks like they only have shirts out there for now. But those thermals would probably be great for one of those brutally cold Kezar nights.

If it ends up that you want my girlfriend to knit you one, let me know. She does it at cost, which is around $8

Timbers Army get our scarves from sportsscarf.com (http://www.sportsscarf.com/clubhouse_gallery.html). They come out to $8 a pop, but we order them in batches of (I think) 150 at a time; which looks to be their minimum order amount.

Cheers, looking forward to our trip to SF for the July 7 match!

(edit: Cheers also to knitting your own scarves. I also knit my own soccer scarves from time to time - my avatar is a detail from one of them)

According to the guy selling hats, tees and skullies last week, there will be jerseys and scarves available this Saturday. I don't know where he got his info but he was selling club swag.

I'll believe it when I see it. You'd think with all this demand they would be on it. Not only for club morale, but for revenue. All this work that we're doing to get scarves could be directed to supporting our boys!

I wouldn't expect to see the "real deal official" jersey for sale yet, but I don't think it would be too hard to knock out a few silk screens on a generic club colors jersey Anything to hold us over, if the official jerseys won't be available until mid-season. Sort of the way lots of teams sell cheaper "practice" jerseys.

As for the scarves I'm sure that is going to take weeks. Maybe, someone can locate a generic blue/white scarf on line?

Funny that...I remember someone here saying that the Vics sponser, Soccer 96, or whwhatever they are called, apparently some sort of apparel supplier, commented when someone asked, "oh scarves and jesrsey's, that's a great idea!" Now, I'm sorry to sound like an old crumudgeon, but, C'MON!!! How does someone claim to be a soccer apparel maker not think about these things?? Why would I want some bogus Nexaca commerative t-shirts, I want some Victory gear!! sorry, I'm bitter and just venting...(and marketing is not my forte' either, so what the heck do I know?) :p
BTW- A 4th division Seals can make scarves and jersey's for the fans, what's up VICS?? Shake a leg!!

At least, they're selling t-shirts and hoodies but that's too generic...

If the two niche items are to be sold, they are jerseys and scarves. Those should be done from the start. However, the former tends to get tied up with more red tape due to whatever issues (licensing and so forth), but the latter cost less and every soccer fan needs to have a scarf!

Bill, keep us posted on the custom merchandise--I know you have to buy them bulk based on past experiences with the Quakes ones. ALLLGooD, I'll take you up on the handmade scarf--$10 blank! ;) My Seals scarf tends to clash with the Victory colours...

I'll talk to La tonight, and then we'll see you on Saturday.

Btw, I did a quick search for generic scarves. The only ones that I could find are in the UK. Sadly, both of them are associated with Chelsea. Yuck!

One is for about $10, the other is for about $14. But international shipping would probably render them too expensive!

ALLLGooD, whats up! Do you think she will be able to knit a scarf by this Saturday's game?

    I just bought this:

from ebay.co.uk for $15 with shipping. It'll probably get here by Monday if the seller's quick about things, but I'll be pulling for it to get here Saturday morning...otherwise, I'll still be sporting a blue and white scarf on Saturday - with a touch of yellow of course.

Probably not. She's already knitting one for someone else right now. Sorry man. We'll talk on Saturday.

Yep those are the guys I was looking at. I left a voicemail for them but they haven't returned my call yet. I'd like to have some "1906 supporters" scarves made up. Yeah, it'll be hard to sell 150 of them, but we can dream can't we?

I say go for it. If you can cover the initial order, you'll probably sell what 30 or 40 right off the bat? People will see you folks in the stadium and want to be cool like you, you'll sell more, etc. Then when the Timbers Army invades your fair city in July, we can do some scarf swapping ;)

Only a month and a half away now, I'm stoked. Haven't been to San Fran for about 4 or 5 years and it's one of the cities in the US I've been dying to get back to.

    Cheers!

No rush mon. If not tomorrow then the next. :)

Based on the past experiences with Club Quake and their scarves I think that number can easily be topped. The 2004 commemoratives were a bit hit!

Heck there were a few that were being sold back in the day--I couldn't get one and they were all gone. I don't know how many of the SF Seals scarves that have been sold but given this audience there will always be demand for them--at MLS Cup and so forth that item is always the first to sell out.

If you do order those 1906 supperters scarfs, keep one ear marked for me. I don't think I could get it shipped to basic, but after that I'm going to Advanced Individual Training school in AZ. Hopefully there I can get one shipped in :).
