Flamengo parece el Chelsea de SudAmerica siempre quejandose de todo. Que cagones From the same people that brought to you the complaint that they shouldn't have to play in high altitude (who the f*** do they think they are that they think they change rules for them) this ones comes even better. Flamengo's VP claims that yesterday's 2-0 win against Defensor Sporting was fixed so that Flamengo wouldn't advance. What are the reasons for this? Why would CONMENBOL want the largest Brasilian team (population wise) out of the competition? Wouldn't they lose ratings?? No, apparently they did this to favor ... Boca That's right. It was all a conspiracy to help Boca Juniors what a joke. Where do Flamengo get off?? I'm sure it was also a conspiracy that made them play so crappy in the first leg as well. The Defensor plays were actually Boca players in disguise Before I was irrelevant, but now I'm glad they got kicked out for the constant crying that they do ADIOS FLAMENGO! SEGUI PARTICIPANDO
I don't agree with what the Flamengo dude said, but refereeing errors, to the point of some very controversial calls, have sadly been too frequent a fact of life in the Libertadores. I saw the youtube video posted in the Brazil board and Baldassi did fail to blow the whistle on 2 clear penalty fouls. I'm not saying Hector Baldassi did this to favor Boca Juniores, but in any case, I'd imagine Libertad will be tougher than either Flamengo or Defensor would be (and besides, I doubt Defensor will get past Gremio anyway).
Exactly there have been bad calls all around. Including some against Boca Juniors like the red card in the game against Toluca and a clear penalty not called in the game agaisnt Velez. Flamengo apparently think they're the exception for everything. Their constant crying is pathetic.
unbelievable, brazilians complaining about the refs... I think the point is that the refs are not giving them favors as they were used to. Few years ago, a inexistent penalty or a goal in off side was very common on your visit to Brazil. I'm not saying that they win tournaments because of the refs. but with all that talent I don't see any need for an "extra help"
they dont have reason this time, but i agree boca has big help from the referees,2001 cruz azul must have been the champion,a second goal licit by the paraguayan cardozo wasnt convalidated, then the final 2005 vs pumas were abondanzieri must have been red carded, and then he was hero in the penalties
I recall something about that Cruz Azul match. In the same year, Palmeiras had a penalty foul not called in their favor in the first leg in La Bombonera, and Boca received a penalty that did not exist. had these two errors not occurred, the first match might have ended 3-1 in Palmeiras' favor, and Boca might've not turned the tables around in the return leg in Sao Paulo.
that was 2001 or 2000? because in 2000 palmeiras hadnt been able to play the finals if the referee at their game vs Peñarol would have convalidated the legitim tiebraker gol in favor of the uruguayans.
yah how surprising boca receiving help in libertadores. why don't they just cancel the matches and give the cup to boca by default.
its a shame that argentina do in south america to try to compete with our soccer. hey guys, try to elevate the quality of your soccer, and not change rules to win.
