I was wondering if Israel ever had any interest in being in the AFC? I know some teams would not play them but you figure Israel would qualify for the world cup every time if they were placed there. Obviously the competition level is at the highest in Europe and Israel is going to struggle to qualify for world cups even due to recent success. Does the IFA have any interest in moving from Europe since techinically Israel is in Asia?
he was in asia. but he kicked from there becuse the arabs teams dont wanna to play with us. im prefer to be in asia becuse from there its much more easy to qualify to the world cup.
Yeah we would make the WC everytime, but wheres the competition. You dont improve by playing teams like Jordan and Qatar. For football fans, UEFA is THE league to be in.
Dont forget that Israel already won the Asian Cup and got numerous third palces and second places id rather let Israel stay in Europe admit it guys, we might make it to the world cup everytime, btu will taht give us recgonition? no! will that make us lead up the fifa world rankings? nope. what gives ur recgonition reputation and mroe discipline and training is Europe!
well, I'm not an Israeli nor a Jewish..but I love to see Israel come back to AFC. they're a former champion! well I wish they can play against Arab teams peacefully. ehm..AFC should also bring Kazakhstan back! they only suffer in Europe!
well said, i didnt know kazakhstan were in asisa b4, and.. mohamed sumthin(afc president) wont let Israel play in asia because he doesnt believe Israel can exist as a country, bunch of bullcrap to me, why would fifa let him be president??? afc needs a neutral president from lets say Japan,Indonesia, or singapore, uno wat i mean?
I know geographically Israel is in Asia, so it does make sense. But I agree the better competition is in Europe...
Israel should play in Asia because that is where they are located! So should Egypt (just an example - you may insert any other non European country) play in Europe too just because its better competition.
whats the point of this conversation. We ALL know why they dont play in Asia, and if you dont know then you probably have no idea whats going on in the world or your just incredibly ignorant. YES Israel is IN ASIA! Thank you for letting us all know that, AGAIN. But, they play in Europe, its a crime, its terrible. Let the United Nations know so they can pass the 15,000th resolution condeming Israel for whatever ridiculous reason they can come up with.
well your comment not suprising me. its known that the europeans hate israel. i see it in any place. but i dont care. you can deny but its ture. we deserve to be in europe. we proved ourself in europe we get better and better. we love to play with the best national teams. our teams become over the years part of europe. almost every year since 2000 a israeli team participate in a european tournament. and not so far from turkey and greece. why they are in europe? just for you know. israel is bettween asia,africa,and europe.
Surely it would be dangerous for Israel to play in Asia. Can you actually imagine the security implications if Israeli players actually would be allowed in Tehran. They'd probably need a whole army of IDF soldiers just to keep them safe.
The problem with Israel playing in Asia is the number of countries that are hostile to it. For example they wouldn't be able to play, all the muslim countries except Jordan because none of them recognize Israel. That would really screw up tournament formats bc/ Israel would almost always reach the finals and semifinals of every major asian tournament, and there most likely would be a muslim team there which means they won't play Israel. So it would just f()ck everything up. Even though I wish we could play in Asia, playing in Europe isn't bad except for the fact they all secretly hate us.
Its better to play in Europe than Africa lol,,, i remember i read an article long time ago taht they had 2 options for Israel Africa or Europe..lol
