Name top five best portugues players. Mine Are: 1. Cristiano Ronaldo 2. Deco 3. Quaresma (But Still Needs Work) 4. Ricardo (Keeper) 5. Joao Moutinho Would Have Mentioned Figo but..cmon he is way to old to compete with these guys...
1-Ronaldo 2-Carvalho 3-Miguel 4-Deco (not as good as that Deco that plays in Barcelona, mind ) 5-Quaresma (on his day he is one of the best wingers in Europe)
1- Cristiano Ronaldo 2- Ricardo Carvalho 3- Deco 4- Simao 5- Quaresma Definately want to fit Miguel in their but cant. I Love the guy always have. C'mon now hes Benfica's former defender we made him they way he is now!
Re: CURRENT Top 5 Best Portugues Players!!! 1. C. Ronaldo 2. M. Veloso 3. J Moutinho 4. Ricardo 5. Nani
Made in Sporting -- Always a trademark. Vila, Veloso at # 2???? He hasn't proven himself yet. Ronaldo -Easily the best portuguese winger we've everproduced Ricardo -Nobody mentions the GK, He's a improtnat part of our success. Carvalho - Rock solid defender, No excuses. Deco - I'm not sure he deserves to be here cause he's Brasiliero but still is an asset Quaresma - I Just hope he contributes to the NT. He has amazing talent. Miguel - Underrated and Underappreciated
So I slipped a #6 through the cracks -- I ain't shooting no blank bullets. Miguel deserves to be there, though.
Are you kidding ? He's the main reason Sporting has been on a defeatless run lately and has been responsible for reviving Liedson goal scoring achievements too. I think he has been a good influence on Nani as well.
Veloso is brilliant no doubt but c'mon he hasn't even be called up to the NT yet. By the way I just wanted to mention Andrade, he deserves a consideration for the top5.
He will soon. I did say "currently" in my post I've noticed that Andrade has slowed down a lot since returning from his injury caused interruption. I hope that he recovers fully soon.
1. Ricardo Carvalho - Best defender in the world 2. Ronaldo 3. Deco 4. Quaresma 5. Miguel Honorable mention Simao, Ricardo, Tiago, and Miguel Veloso.....MV is a better talent then Nani and Moutinho, he just doesnt get the recognition because he doesnt score alot of goals and isnt a fancy dribbler. Out of all the young guns Sporting has, I think hes the most ready to leave and be succesful right now
Understandable, Ricky is the base where you set your team and Ronaldo is the top gear for your team but the base is very important. I would put: 1.Moutinho 2.Miguel Veloso 3.Nani Moutinho has been Sporting's midfield boss since he was 17!!! Veloso as had a great year, and looks like he is going to be a very special player, as long as he keeps playing as a DMF. Nani is bound to get more attention because of the position he plays, but he has been between the brilliant and the average thos season.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo 2. Ricardo Carvalho 3. Deco 4. Miguel 5. Joao Moutinho (great consistent CM, havign a good season... I never watch Tiago play at Lyon so I cant judge him but Moutinho is a really good player)
I DIDN'T SEE ANY OF HIS GAMES THIS YEAR EITHER, FSC CUT THEIR COVERAGE OF LIGUE 1, BUT BY ALL ACCOUNTS HIS PERFORMANCE WAS BELOW THE PREVIOUS YEAR, NEVERTHELESS, HE'S STILL AN ABOVE AVERAGE PLAYER, AS HIS NT'S STINT SHOWED US
Im sorry but I am not that big on Joao Moutinho. Every time I seen the kid play Benfica or Porto, he just really isn't a factor at all. Im not saying the kid sucks by all means, but I dunno, MV shows up more for me. He had Rui Costa and Petit in his pocket all game at the Luz a couple of weeks ago
