Would the league be interested in having Fowler? I'm pretty sure; just like EPL has been interested. But it's up to the teams, and I think the Revolution still want him.

I'd guess if the Revs actually were serious about it, Nicol having known Fowler for a long time makes this one of the best possibilities. Of course, the hold up is that the Revs owner would actually have to open up the old wallet.

Sorry, I was smiling at the use of the English slang plural. I've only previously heard it in Arctic Monkeys songs.

Steve Nicol says he really wants Fowler, and in my opinion Fowler is still pretty good. Fowler can come off the bench and make stuff happen late in the game, like hes done many times this year in Liverpool, and ontop of that hes real good with PK's.

Fowler's performance last weekend against Fulham illustrated to me what he still can and cannot do. In the first half, he made a brilliant penetrating pass by lifting the ball over Boca's head. This pass was at least equal in quality to that made by Scholes that sprung Rooney free for his goal against AC Milan. Unfortunately (or fortunately for YA/Fulham fans), his teammate missed wide. On the other hand, he missed an easy tap-in in the first half and a less easy tap-in in the last few minutes of the second half.
