What's up guys you might remember me as Sherwin. Well I forgot my password like an idiot so I had to basically create another account. I just want to say that if we don't get shafted by the bad refs in the AFC, I think we have a great chance of winning it all. Let's be honest here remember the last Asian cup where we got shafted by that crap ref in the Iran China game?

That's why I say if we get a fair shake we will have just as good as a chance as anyone to win it. Plus there is no DAEI:D so we will be playing with 11 players on the field. We have a good squad and the Meixco game is going to be a good tune up. I came back from Germany and watched the Iran Mexico game in Nuremburg. Dam we had our chances but Bronko killed us by having Daei as our only forward.

    Long live Iran.

By now, we should be expecting a biased officiating everytime AFC is in charge of the tournament, and therefore, plan the games accordingly. While I agree that Iran game in the semis against China was poorly officiated, we need to realize that we provided those opportunities for the game to be taken against us. We started defending with 10 men as if China was some big team, not to forget, that this game was played right after the game in which we beat S. Korea 3-2 in an offensive style. If we had played the same type of offensive minded game against China from the get-go, we would have put the game away in the first 30 minutes. Thanx to poor coaching by Branco. But this time we have one of our own at the helm, who truly cares about the team and better understands our players emotional and psychological swing factor.
The bottom line is that if we play our own kind of football, an attacking minded game, we should go all the way with little trouble.

^we beat korea 4-3 and i agree attackingstyle is way more attractive than defensive but thats coaches job not ours.
i reckon we can do better than 2004
btw guys do you know how the quarter and semis work out?like do you know which teams we will play next in groups or do they draw again?

Enayati is worse than Daei and there is a chance that Ghalenoe will be dumb enough to start him

Daei was playing along side Hashemian. We had two forwards for all three games.

BTW are you the Sherwin from PFDC?

    i also like attacking football

but the football game today is to defensive, today we need a team of 1 goalie, 1 striker an 9 defenders. Thats how it is now and we must play accordingly if we want to do well.
