    Yeah, Ireland vs. Bolivia?

Kind of strange. I'm not sure either of those teams would attract a lot of outside interest in this area. KC has some Irish heritage, but I'm not sure that translates into Irish soccer fans. Still, it will be cool to see some international soccer here in KC. I wonder if Robbie Keane will be playing.

"The Kansas City Wizards match at New England Revolution..."

It's an away game in NE....and I think they have "a few" Irish in that area. :)

Yeah I saw that right after I posted. Looks like your post got in right before mine.

I assume the Ireland game isn't being televised anywhere?

I kinda doubt it since it's Ireland vs Bolivia.

Speaking of heritage...What kind of heritage does the typical K.Citean have?

If by heritage you mean traditions and traits passed down through generations, I'd say Kansas Citians are good natured, hospitable, honest, have a healthy sense of skepticism, and are slightly overweight. :D

If you mean demographics etc., according to this, Kansas City, Missouri is

    White Non-Hispanic (57.6%)
    Black (31.2%)
    Hispanic (6.9%)
    Other race (3.2%)
    Two or more races (2.4%)
    American Indian (1.2%)
    Vietnamese (0.7%)

Each of those could be split into sub demos from all over the world. Kansas City, like most American cities is truly a melting pot. That doesn't take into account other cities in the Metropolitan area that have very different numbers from these but would still be considered part of Kansas City.

The best BBQ on the planet, jazz/blues (Charlie Parker, Pat Metheny, and others hometown), and the American Royal are three of this city's longest running traditions.

Many will debate the "home of barbecue" or "best barbecue" label (especially if you live in the Carolinas, Memphis, or Texas). However, nobody can dispute that Kansas City is the Constantinople of Barbecue. KC is the place where all of the different BBQ styles converged, making it a style that is familiar to those from Texas, Memphis, and the Carolinas, but also a style that is very unique.

By the way, KC barbecue is my favorite so don't jump all over me all of you KC natives. :)

so where was this party that they did yesterday "on the boulevard?" a couple friends of mine wanted to go to the "quatro de mayo" celebration to get the $8.10 tix, but never could figure out where it actually was.
