    in the end.. nothing got solved in the first place... posters that are regulars can still troll on guests of a forum and not get carded.. but the guests get immediate reprisal...

Who's to blame for Gooch's slow feet and Tim Howard's crappy second year at Man U? Steve Coppell was idiot Convey's first year right? Second year he's a genius right? Your a pathetic broken record. Your posts are as predictable and poor as the winter weather in Seattle. It's time to grow up Dave and face reality. Your a boring and crappy poster that resorts to being a bully when outwitted and undone by your own inept and ignorant posts. You would do us all great service by removing yourself from this thread and Big Soccer. I hear Xtratime needs a inarticulate, uninformed excuse maker in it's Yanks Abroad forum.     Have your tried grow lights? Or vitamin D? Of just a cheap Alaska ticket to Cabo? Or something. I know it's that time of year up there where everyone goes a little SAD but I gotta admit, I'm a little concerned.

    In your opinion. In mine - and others - it was a very weak and lame troll, which is exactly why I posted it:- to indicate how spazzos can post like that whereas had the situation been reversed, the poster likely would have been abused by the normal culprits and potentially warned by the moderator.

    Hate to break it to you, but YA is far from the only forum where this (allegedly) happens. I've seen the same happen numerous times in team forums. Or had it happen to me...

    Oh, I agree entirely... it's one of the unfortunate aspects of BS that it has become so Balkanised that banter - which to me is part and parcel of being a football fan - is handled in such a biased fashion by some moderators. Personally I don't have the slightest problem with the fact that jri posted that harmless troll - it even made me chuckle for a nanosecond - but what I do have a problem with is when one category of poster is treated differently from another.

    Really that's unfortunate but this thread is regarding the bias in moderating in regards to YA. Why should posters be attacked in YA if I post less then complimentary things about a player and why does DK allow it? So far no answer other than "YA isn't for everyone." If your an American your a Yank so thus it's not trolling and you have a right to access the forum and fair treatment under the TOS? Now if you change the forum to Dipshit Lounge it's obvious I don't belong there and I wouldn't post in said thread.

    Regarding my post above, I don't actually care that moderating is biased in favor of the locals. Yeah it can get out of hand, but if you're going to come in and be relentlessly negative about the subject of a thread, you should expect a little retaliation (and in this case I think a lot of the retaliation was more playful than nasty, including most of the referenced posts). Banter is one thing, banter with an obvious bias (even if not to the poster in question) is another.

    And seriously, I don't see YA as being all that bad. Yeah there are a few dipshits, but it's not that difficult to scroll past them or put them on your ignore list, and most of the people who hang out there are fine. (The USA Men's forum after a match, now THAT'S where the idiots come to play...)

    That's fine but I would counter that Newcastle posters didn't jump into YA until certain regulars started blaming the club for all of Gooch's problems. It was very similar to what happened when Tim Howard craped his pants while he was with ManUre. The Toon supporters reaction was to be expected when you consider the amount of erroneous and hostile postings directed at the club,other players, and fans.

    YA is forum supposed to be about American players overseas so I don't see the problem with Americans or anyone else for that matter posting their opinions and especially American supporters of a team with a Yank on the field. If anything the team supporters will have a better understanding of the particular Yanks situation. Now if DK doesn't want to hear analysis of YA then he should set up a fans lounge for those only interested in fun ,light hearted cheering of players. I proposed this and he balked.

    Same poster, yet agitated. Insulting if you think with your heart. I believe in a higher standard of posting and responce (and so does DK). So while this was stupid, and sticks and stones namecalling, it was not really that bad.

    So the above posts prove that I'm in fact not a troll in YA but Yank fan that was unfairly targeted by the regulars when I strayed from the party line and because I rebelled against commonly held opinions on YA, I was awarded a forum ban. It's what I've been saying from the beginning. ;)

    Is that all you guys got? Maybe Jimmy Olsen can post some more pictures of Jesus or SuperDave can post "Naahh Aahh I'm not a fanboy jerk!" once he get's off his shift at Subway. Seriously guys raise your game.

    Dark Knight do you actually get paid to be an admin?
