Varela will be loaned to Setubal

    http://www.ojogo.pt/21-312/Artigo520977.htm

how are Setubal gonna fit this bill...aren't they still struggling to pay their players?

even though he is Sporting property...I'm looking for good things from this kid in regards to the National Team.

Snap I was hoping he'd go to Braga. He deffinately saved our asses in the U-21 vs the Swiss.

Well, he didn't really save us.

    Hugo Almeida was the savior.
    Varela simply got sloppy seconds.

    PS: I was hoping he'd go to Beira-Mar. :p

Do you guys believe that Varela has the talent to eventually earn a spot on the Seleccao?

Today hopefully he will play against Benfica, see what hes about.

    Also how old is Varela?

Forwards aren't the players you need to go out and brill things up in the game, they don't need to dribble, etc. They just need to put the ball in the goal.

Almeida's goal was the crucial one, because at that point we were still down to the Swiss. Varela's goal was nice, and it did put us through, but Almeida's was double as important, because it came after a time in the game where we were experiencing a lot of difficulties, and the goal was much needed to get the fans back on terms with the team.

It will be good for him. I hope he does not get the screw job like Diogo Tavares.

Ah man...Looks like he might stay in the light of mediocre. Maybe he will turn out like Drogba and only get recognition later on....
