MLS just got a whole lot more interesting. Guillermo Barros Schelotto is signing with Columbus. This is great news for 2 reasons: 1) I still think he is awesome even though he is going to be 34 and 2) he was strongly rumored to be returning to Gimnasia de la Plata but chose MLS instead. Granted, Columbus is paying him 2mil over 2 years which I assume is a lot more than Gimnasia, but in my rose-colored world I like to think money has nothing to do with it ;)

I hope he plays this weekend because the Superclasico is going to be nuts!

Roma were shit and Chelsea pull it off again. Now all the glory supporters of each team, who have been supporting the team maybe for a few months now, get to celebrate - even though they don't realise just how long some people wait for success. To top it off, I've got school tomorrow while every other school starts in a week! Wow, I am in a BAD mood!

As for the Superclasico on the 15th - I wish I could watch it, sadly I'll have to settle for highlights. You routing for any side? Gotta love Boca!

I'm lame and I can't stick to one team (my excuse is I'm American and I wasn't raised supporting one team so I will never have the true passion one side deserves). When I was living in Chile I was a river fan (this was the year Boca beat them in the semis of the Copa Libertadores only to lose to Once Caldas in the final ). Now I just want to see good football. I loved Higuain's brace in the last SuperClasico but I won't be upset if Boca win this one. When I was in BsAs I went to La Bombonera and it was the best game I have ever been to. Amazing atmosphere.

That's a shame you can't watch it. Do you get "Futbol de la Primera"? Fox shows it here in English and Spanish. It's a 2 hour highlight show of La Liga Aregentina and gives really good, in-depth highlights of each match, not just the goals. It's really well produced.

The link up play leading to Smithys goal was just a lesson in one touch football. It was fantastic. Thats United at their best.

nobody will mention him, but I think that Heinze played a fantastic game. Fletcher as well.

I left my class after 20 minutes today to catch the match. The only reason I went was because I knew we were getting our exam scores from last week. I was kind of pissed when I put on the game and it was already 30 minutes in and they were up 3-0 because I figured they wouldn't push forward to score any more goals. How little did I know- still amazed they lit Roma up for 7.

    Re: NSR/Off-Topic #8

Today has been a great day, despite being the first day back to school after Spring Break.

School is not too bad, I make it through easily enough, easy day.

Head home, watch Man U kick the SHIT out of Roma, as well as play a little fifa with a teammate.

Get ready, head to watch the JV game vs one of our big rivals.

Before our game, we get our team 'apparel' finally, woot!

Our game, we win off a header (the shortest person on our team, about 5'0" MAYBE) on a corner in the last 5 minutes of the game. Holy nuts was it amazing. And our big rival didn't have a game tonight, so they came to watch us beat the team they almost (should have) lost to (but tied).

And then Scarred premiered tonight on MTV.. tonight's episode wasn't that good, cause I didn't get to see any of the clips I wanted to see. But I'm so pumped for next week's episode.

Also, today is Guillermo and my mom's birthday. Sweet. :):)

    I'm in a spectacular mood.
