OK, he used to play for Bucheon SK, I am wondering if anyone here can give me and information on him, or if anyone can give me videos of him
That was my first post at this site, and this is my 1,000th, what a long way Dabo has come since then (from being an unknown in Asia to being one of the top strikers in Africa)
Excellent http://www.dzfoot.com/news.php?hot_id=1956 top scorer in Algeria and has quite a few goals in the African Champions League as well
wow. impressed that you kept track of it all. just to let you know Bucheon SK last year changed to Jeju United FC when they moved home, all the way to the Jeju island on the southern tip of Korea, known for its dormant volcanic mountain and crator lake, special korean oranges (best in the world, they arent really oranges, but then again they arent tangerines either, and taste real good and easy to peal and big as oranges) and palm trees, women divers, horses and ponies, and fav destination for honeymooners. Dabo i believe took part in the K-league All Stars Game when he was in the K-league. He is also remembered in the Jeju United FC website.....2002 join date, with a photo of him.
Dabo had the misfortune of joining the club at possibly the worst time in its history. It might be a bit melodramatic to accuse the powers-that-be at the time of attempting to run the club into the ground, but that's essentially what happened - at one point, I believe, the then-owner stated that it would be better for the team to lose its away games in order not to piss off residents of those other cities and potentially lose their custom. The parent SK Group were stumbling through crisis after crisis with financial, organisational and political problems at the time and the football club was a very low priority indeed in their overall business plan. The SK Group chairman was considering shutting the team down as it was losing far too much money each year however the appointment of a new general manager, not long after Dabo left the club, and a new sense of direction actually led to them having a reasonably decent season in 2005. Unfortunately, that "new sense of direction" would lead them 450km south... Dabo came to Bucheon at the same time as another Malian, a defender called Cheik Tidani Dao who was born in 1982. He made only four appearances for Bucheon before getting dumped, and I haven't been able to find any details on his career after leaving Korea.
