I've waited too long but I'm about to order a new Arsenal home jersey....how do these fit? They look real tight on the players and I was just curious if I needed to "size up" or what. Thanks for any help.

I have a medium from last season (the red currant) and a medium from this one, and the newer medium is a tiny, tiny bit smaller, but not enough to jump up to L for me.

Arsenal's kit is by Nike. If you are unsure or often 'between' sizes, stop by a local store and try on any ol' Nike soccer top to decide.

if you buy a kit according to size, they will fit very comfortably. they shirt is not baggy or too loose at all. the material used is something wonderful as well. without a doubt the finest soccer shirt I've ever purchased.

They tend to run slightly smaller in my experience. If you are one the edge of two sizes, go with the larger one.

Im 5'10 170 and Medium is the my favorite size for Nike. If it's puma I'll go large.

I just figured I'd chime in because I'm pretty particular about fit on stuff like this...

I'm about 5'10, 150 and for me, I could go either way between small and medium on the home strip. The length seemed pretty close between the small and medium...if you like your jersey to be slightly fitted and you are on the border between two sizes, go smaller...if you like it a bit more loose, go up.

Oh, I should also say...this is quite possibly the most comfortable top I own.

    Good luck...you getting it named/numbered?

I'm 5'9"-5'10", 150lbs, and the medium fits great. I would consider going a size down if you're looking for a more fitted look.

They are not as tight as the current USA Nike jerseys if you have any experience with them.

They do come up a bit tighter. I find my medium cuts under the arms a little bit. Might be worth sizing up if your current size is already a perfect fit.

is the fit of this jersey the same as the current US home shirts? I love everything about that jersey except how tight it can be under the arms.

Yeah the fit runs tight for me. I will never get a L Nike jersey again..LOL. I will remember that for next time. 6'0, 230 lbs. my stomach isn't a 6 pack, but my arms and chest are still show some mass from when I used to work out/lift weights. They just fit a bit too snug on the arms and chest. I should have stuck with my guns and got a XL and I forgot that the European sizing is a bit smaller. But it is what it is. Thank ya now...Roscoe!

Not quite as tight as the current US home shirts. I wear an XL in the US, where the L was way too tight. For the current arsenal jersey, I still went with an XL, but I could have also worn an L as well. I would say they run about 1/2 size difference larger than the current US home shirt; so the same size might now be more comfortable if you were on the fence with the US shirt.

I've had success just choosing the size above whatever I buy in the states, eg If I'm an XL in the states, I'm an XXL in Euro sizing

I'm just gonna warn you not to go up a size. When the shirt first came out alot of people were saying to go up a size...which I did with name and numbering...and the shirt was too big!

Anyways, I've got a smaller one now and I'm looking forward to the new away and third shirts...it feels strange and good to have the same home shirt for 2 years again!

I bought this year's Large long sleeve jersey. The sleeves on XL were just too long. The new shirt is much more of a traditional Nike size than the US world cup shirts were. I had to order an XL in the US WC shirt, but all my other Nike Arsenal and US shirts are size L. My one gripe about Nike shirts is that they are always a bit tight just under the armpits as Dave M pointed out, but my redcurrant shirt was tight too. I don't think there's too much of a difference in fits between those Arsenal shirts. Unfortunately, the "Fly Emirates" lettering is a bit flimsy and the "m" started to crack after just a few washings.

I don't think there's any difference in the actual size of the shirt based on where it is sold, and the shirts have the various sizing designations printed in the neck. All my US shirts have been bought in the US; all my Arsenal shirts have been bought in the UK. They are identically labeled.

If you have large muscular arms like myself, go up a size.

I am looking for forwards to a new away and third kit as well

If you've developed a compulsive eating disorder because of the induced stress watching Arsenal matches and have gained 15 lbs....go a size up.
