Guys I think he may be on to something. I can't see that the guy comes all the way over here just to attend to some Y-3 Adidas promotion and go to a Knicks game. If he truly wanted to go on a vacation, wouldn't he rather come in the summer time anyways? Add to the fact that supposedly Claudio Reyna mentioned on Republica Deportiva that he would like to see the MLS sign Zidane and the "no comment" response by Zidane himself and there may just be some smoke here.

Rooney did. And last time I checked, he's still playing for United. :)

Okay, let's make a little wager. Here's the deal I'm willing to make:

If you are currently holding out hope that Zidane will join RBNY and he does NOT get signed, you have to drink only Red Bull for a month.

Likewise, for the tireless doubters among us, if Zidane DOES get signed, we'll have to drink only Red Bull for a month.

Either way, we'd better start raising rehab funds for the losers.

I don't know, I appreciate SoccerScout for tellin us this because his source probably did say this...who knows if it will happen or not though. I think alot of things are falling in place, whether that is what is generating the rumor or what is generating a signing only time will tell.

If we let him slip through our fingers to Chicago Ill be really dissapointed. I mean why wouldnt he want to play for the greatest City in the world?

actually i'm pretty fired up to see Zidane sign with a team that plays in a stadium with a water tower in sight.

Eat whatever you want. Just not liquids other than Red Bull. That seems like torture enough to me.

Worst Case Scenario: Zidane comes what forwards are available to push the ball in the net?

It's a trick question..... IF Zidane comes, we won't NEED forwards to push the ball in the net. ;)

Yeah but the real problem lies with "dc". the dc seems to work out to two syllables instead of the one syllable that the word leeds works out to be.

I just see Zidane as a playmaker more than a forward/striker.

Zidane will be our 6th goal keeper.
