It must be said that Jamie Trecker is both an idiot and a moron. I am considering buying his sure-to-be craptastic book just to piss myself off at the idiocracy of mankind, but i'm torn b/c i do not want to contribute to that d-bag's coffers.

It's scary how precisely this mirrors my thoughts on Trecker's book.

Zidane should stay retired. He doesnt care nor wants to play anymore. Besides wouldn't investing in young talent say 18 - 22 with STRONG FUTURES be a better situation. Let's buy them young from all over the world and nationalize them. It's cheaper, faster and the Europeans are doing it as well (this is to satisfy all the eurosnobs on BS).

Should I dress up for the ceremony or just wear boxer shorts, a wife beater and a 5 day beard like you do?

Zidane to Red Bulls to be anounced (Yet another unsubstantiated Rumor)

I was told today that Zidane will be anounced as a NY RED BULL within the next 2 weeks.

My source has a very solid sorce inside of MLS.

Now its a matter of waiting to see if it actually happens.

Someone who might actually know told me a few weeks ago that Zidane would be coming to MLS.

There's a lot of smoke. I'm just not ready to admit to fire. No pun intended.

Not quite. Apparently this info is from a source who has a very valid "sorce." ;)

All joking aside. I'd love to see it.

Right now I have a better belief that Delgado is coming to the club, than Zidane is, but if it's true, our midfield will be stacked. Fire power will be unreal and it looks like Stammler might come off the bench as a defensive substitution.

he won't pack Giants Stadium even if it is true (which it's not).

he didn't go to Virginia, so I'm thinking Arena will probably pass on him.

You know what this might actually happen. There is a lot of smoke right now and add to the fact that Claudio Reyna apparently said on Republica Deportiva that the MLS should go out and get Zidane and you might have something here. If this comes to fruition and Zidane becomes a Red Bulls player, then it could open the door to a lot of superstars who might be considering coming over to play in the MLS but may have been hesitant to do so before.

This seems plausible to me. Zidane has gotten a much needed break from the sport. He probably wouldn't come before the summer, as he needs to regain his fitness. If Red Bull convinced Zidaned that he'd be an ambassador to the sport in this country, much like Pele was in the 70's, then I think he'd come. Also, he'd probably sign some sort of short term deal, like for the remainder of this season plus next, then be employed by MLS as a goodwill embassador to the league for 10 more years (like they did with 'El Pibe').

Listen, lots of people said the same thing about Beckham. Don't say he's not coming unless you are in Zidane's inner circle and you got it straight from the great man himself.
