Re: Zidane in the City...right now I hope he's here to be interviewed for the nats job. Wishing! Anyone know where Sunil is?
Re: Zidane in the City...right now there's a link to an article in one of the other Zidane threads that says he's here to promote a designer's new adidas line
Re: Zidane in the City...right now good question. Especially with this weather. One look at the weather report would have cancelled the trip for me if I had that kind of money...
Re: Zidane in the City...right now If anyone hasn't seen the Zidane headbutt reference on Family Guy, you've got to see it--hilarious. http://youtube.com/watch?v=E1re1RmUq4M&mode=related&search=
Re: Zidane in the City...right now Why didnt the guy who saw zidane take a camera phone pic? That could have sold for a shit load to tabloids around the world!
Re: Zidane in the City...right now Well guys I guess he is here. Over on the MLS Fans board someone posted a link from Radio France that states he's over here doing some work with Adidas and Yohji Yamamotos. Yohji is Adidas' creative director of Sport and Style Division. Hopefully someone in the MLS HQ's in New York knows he's here and will want to meet with him. http://www.radiofrance.fr/chaines/france-info/depeches/detail.php?depeche_id=070205171040.t80hcwi6
Re: Zidane in the City...right now Makes sense, it is Fashion Week in the City and all the worlds top designers are putting on shows here.
Re: Zidane in the City...right now Redbulls are in NJ. Newark Airport is international. So why fly into NY to meet with Redbull? I see more Bull than Red in this thread.
Re: Zidane in the City...right now He is in New York right now, even attended a Knicks game: Zidane in Knicks-Clippers game
Re: Zidane in the City...right now By Frank Isola New York Daily News NEW YORK — International soccer legend Zinedine Zidane declined to address rumors that he may follow David Beckham’s lead and continue his career in the United States. Zidane, who attended Tuesday night’s Knicks-Clippers game at Madison Square Garden, retired following France’s loss to Italy in the World Cup final. Zidane infamously head-butted Italy’s Marco Materazzi in extra time and was given a red card. There have been whispers that the Red Bulls of the MLS would try to sign Zidane. Last month, the Los Angeles Galaxy signed Beckham, who was Zidane’s teammate with Real Madrid. Zidane met briefly with movie director and long-time Knicks season ticket holder Spike Lee. In December, Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney sat courtside for a Knicks-Celtics game.
Re: Zidane in the City...right now wow, he "declined to discuss rumors"? So he didn't deny them! There may be something to this story after all... When does his Real Madrid contract expire? Does anybody know?
Re: Zidane in the City...right now aren't corporate Red Bull offices and MLS corporate offices in NYC?
Re: Zidane in the City...right now I hope someone turns this into one of those Zidane headbut animations.
Re: Zidane in the City...right now I think the Y-3 show is tonight. That's Yohji Yamamoto's line for adidas.
Re: Zidane in the City...right now I bet a whole bunch of you posters were wishing you were nicer to Youri, Zidane's good friend.
Re: Zidane in the City...right now I don't think anyone really is. I'm just having fun reading this thread and getting laughs from it.
Zidane rumor (link included) goal.com reports that Zizou was at the knicks game last night. when asked about a possible return with the RedBulls he said "no comment". I realize this is only slightly better than a flat out refusal, yet it has me very excited... http://goal.com/en-us/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=228566
