Ingerland have called up AJ and Phil Neville ( ).

    Kilbane is back for Ireland

Faddy and Naysmith (who plays better for Scotland than us) is in for Scotland.

    Any others?

James McFadden and David Weir were both starters in Scotland's fantastic 1-0 victory over France.

Phil Neville was an unused substitute as England drew 0-0 with freaking Macedonia. They would have won, though, if AJ wasn't injured, or if they didn't play Rooney.

Simon Davies was 'outstanding' in Wales' pathetic 5-1 spanking in Cardiff.

Tim Cahill played 90 minutes against Paraguay, but Australia could only manage a 1-1 draw.

I know Kevin Kilbane technically isn't an Evertonian anymore, but I love the guy and his Ireland team team lost 5-2 to CYPRUS! Jesus Chroist.

Cahill will also play on Wednesday against Bahrain in Australia, in an Asia Cup 2007 qualifier.

He was quite good against Paraguay, despite an allround fairly lacklustre attacking game from the team. We're getting quite spoilt by having a player like him who can turn in very good, very consistent performances almost constantly.

Joseph Yobo captained Nigeria to a 1-0 win over Lesotho in an African Cup Qualifier, and was voted Man of the Match.

Nigeria only put one past Lesotho? That's got to be disappointing.

    -----------

Steve Staunton and Ireland finally came to their senses, admitting they are nothing without the midfield genius that is Carlsinho.

Z-Cars should have told him to shove it...but I suppose you've got to take it on the chin in order to help your country out.

In other news, Cahill put in 80 minutes in Oz's 2-0 Asian Cup qualifying win over Bahrain.

Anyway watch this game? Any details on how AJ played?

Other boards were saying that he played hesitantly, but potential seemed to be there with Rooney and him as a striking partnership.

The coach is full of praise for him but thats to cover up the fact that he was totally wasted in the formation we started with. He played as a winger for almost all the game with Rooney as the lone striker. When Johnson moved to striker for 5 minutes England scored and he looked like the AJ we know. Inexplicably he was then moved to left wing where he was again ineffective.

I think most of his bad performance was down to being played in the wrong position AGAIN and just nerves cos of what happened to him last time.
Anyone reckon he'll get a call again?

Neville starting for England, and Arteta doesn't get selected for Spain's squad. Yeah, that sounds about right...

wait... wasn't he part of our last line up... you know... the one that didn't let liverpool score in their own home?

    yeah... hmmm

he's quiet and gets the job done, doesn't draw much attention to himself and has been part of a pretty darn good defense for us, so why, pray tell, should he not get capped?

I think his distribution is poor, sure hes a fiery, determined player, but there are more skilled players out there.

At LB, if I was McSven, I'd pick Leighton Baines...when was the last time Phil played LB for us?

Oh well it won't matter anyways, England will lose and I will laugh again. :)
