I have 2 good sources that the Wizards are coming back to Ray-Pec with no in-stadium beer sales.

When I got my principal (RP - Freshman Center)to call the Superintendant (Dr. Kyle), he got the secretary. She was very noncommital. If it is true, legal stuff is still pending and the School Board would still need to approve. They did before. I ate breakfast on Saturday with 2 of them and our state represenative from the Mo. Congress and they thought it was a shame that the original plan fell through.

Supposedly the papers were signed on Friday, according to a Peculiar police officer (consulted about security) and some of the coaches.

    I won't give it 100% credibility yet.

    Call it 75%

BTW I cannot see them policeing the parking lots for beer. If so maybe the Mystics could talk to the Flying J (truck stop) for a place to party?

I dont care about beer sales inside the stadium. As long as I have a place to down a 12 pack starting 3 hours before the game I am good to go. :)

Does anybody have a pic of Ray-Pec's stadium? Even the actual name of the stadium would help so I could Google it. Good luck on getting temp digs. Hopefully it works out as well for you as Naperville did for us.

It is Panther Stadium. I cannot find a picture so far. The stands and Press box are 2 years old.

Ah, at worst, it's 2 years.
    We'll all still go.

Quite a few I would think, considering how well Ray-Pec did in that informal voting the Wizards had done.

With last year's average attendance of 11,083, we needed to find a way to scare off 3k - 5k any way, right?

Nah, it was about the temp site. The article says: "What’s more, at any moment, the team is poised to announce where it will play this year, as Major League Soccer finalizes its schedule. Hint: Arrowhead is out, it will seat 6,500 to 8,000 and Dorothy may not approve."

    i stand corrected.

location-wise, i think i'd prefer rockhurst, but if it's between ray-pec and cbac, i'll take ray-pec anyday. i'm saying this only on the basis of traveling.

Looking back at the early articles about using Panther Stadium, they claim a current capacity of 4800 and state that they should be able to double that by adding bleachers.

The proposed 6,500 - 8,000 seems to miss that "double" mark by quite a bit...

I hope it is not Ray-Pec, but if it is, I will still be there. Sigh.

Go with small stadium for non-Beckham dates.
Could you use Royals stadium for just one date only when Beckham comes?
