I think I shall take Katy to this game. Maybe her family would like to come too. See if there are any up-coming stars in El Salvador (however, as a friend from Mexico told me, "When was the last time ES did anything? ;) ) :p

And that's why I shot back that ES is too poor to pay off the refs, like some countries. ;)

I guess another reason why I liked the Galaxy was because El Salvador was represented with Mauricio Cienfuegos. :)

I definitely want to go to this match, gotta support homeland players.

  5. $15 to watch el salvador U-17????? WTF!!??? i'll pay that if that U-17 were the mexican world champions  , but anyway.. i think i'll be there because a salvatrucho friend is paying for my ticket ;)

While it has been a long time since El Salvador national teams have suffered bad results and since Im from there and just got back I can tell you this team is very hungry and has been training hard. Will play Chile, Costa Rica, and US along with Houston Galacticos which they beat last time they played here back in november 2-1 and most on the houston team are above 20 yrs old.

There is several up and coming players such as Andres Flores who has been training with the River Plate youth system during the last year and are preparing for the final round of qualifying to play in the same group with Honduras, Mexico, Haiti, and ES. The top 2 qualify and seem to have a decent chance of qualifying to 1st ever youth world cup. The new federation is composed of the generation that qualified to 82 world cup so many changes are coming and we will see a new ES.

  8. dale galacticos!!! haha naaa just kidding... i'll cheer for ES just beacuse my guanaco friend is paying for my ticket ;)

Nevermind, I just answered my own question:

The game will be played this Saturday at 6 pm at Butler Stadium. Tickets are $15, children under 5 get in free. You can buy tix at Fiesta or at the game.
