Looks like one of the SI's is gone if Davids is signed. Probably would be Saragosa but could be Sala as he might have the most value (hope it's Hislop). I thought Clarke did pretty good with his drafting and aqusitions but the Hislop deal is a real dud and could make us lose a player we don't want to lose. Maybe the best thing would be to include him with someone another team wants. I guess FCD could pick up part of his salary if another team would take him off our hands.

BTW Buzz, what was your opinion of FCD's draft and other teams?

SALA is a Green-Card holder - not an SI

    SI's:
    Shaka/Ruiz/Saragosa/Serioux

    Serioux not Mina.

I think it's time for MLS to allow 5 or 6 SIs especially since they passed the DP rule... but that is for another discussion.

I'm a bit surprised FCD is still signing players to guaranteed contracts.

I would have thought they'd try to avoid doing so if at all feasible.

I'm sure they do try....but it isn't always avoidable.

No Sala quit so he could start selling churros again, Hislop retired after he tore his ACL ice skating, Gbandi is with IK Start ;) , Cassar with Odd Greenland, Cooper was bought for $7.5 million by ManU, Arturo Alvarez is with Pumas, Mulrooney quit soccer and decided to try a career in minor league baseball, Simo Valakari signed with Xerez, Carlos Ruiz brusied his left cornea during an earthquake in Guatemala and will be out for the season, Oduro signed with Asante Kotoko to get more playing time, Ray Burse was traded to Toronto FC for 5 season tickets, Nunez fell off a ride at six flags (the sign said must be this tall, I told him to listen to the sign), Morrow has signed a 63 year former Tornados goalie, we traded back for O'Brien, Hitch has admitted the whole Davids thing was a joke, Goodson has legally changed his name to Clarence Owen Goal (the "e" is silent), Drew Moor decided to join Jolley at Merrill Lynch where they are mail room clerks and still make more then they would in MLS, Thompson was in the running of the bulls, and we can all imagine how that went, Mina is in Ecuador pigging out so he can be in his usual good form for the start of the season, Yi signed withe almighty K-League, Rhine is looking for a USL team to join, and Morrow is waiting outside the unemployment office.

    Seriously.

    nutella...

You forgot that Ruiz' eye was bruised by a bad boob job at Hooters. Carlos was trying to figure out if it was real or not and "boink".

    Seriously...

I think it's a Texas thing. We seem to like to do things ass backwards here. But, just when you think you are making the joke, the FO pulls the old switcheroo and has a laugh at your expense. Stay tuned Canuck. The rumblings of future moves by our FO may signify that they are willing if not able to turn the corner.
