Cappello might be a good coach but he's also one of the cockiest and most stubborn coaches ever. Just because of some comments that Diarra made, he gets sent to the bench and Cappello keeps insisting on playing Emerson. Even though he wasn't as bad as many other players on the pitch yesterday Emerson is just too old and to slow to be playing at Real. If Cappello wants him to play he should play alongside Diarra, like at the beginning of the season.

If anyone gets dropped from the starting eleven that has to be Emerson, not Diarra. And as for Ronaldo, he's done in soccer. He should be transfered to another team ASAP and get a true quality striker.

Emerson IMO was one of the players playing in their average form....Diarra getting benched is truly a sad story considering the reason......

OFF TOPIC: Next thread I'm gonna start is gonna be: Who has the bigger EGO?? Mourinho or Capello?? :D

Capello is really starting to stink it up in my mind too. He is the one who should be sent packing. This is my 1st post here and is cool to speak with other Real fans. I was posting on the La Liga board at world soccer daily and didn't get any interest really. Mostly epl fans there I guess.

    Capello.
Mourinho has an "ego" but his ego usually protects the players, while capellos ego usually blames the players.

    Also offtopic:

Say what you want i like Chelseas last year system.
Their offence was sick, with Joe Cole, Robben and Drogba, we could emulate that with Robinho, Reyes and Ruud.

Diarra was out of line and is being punished, As a player he should learn his place and respect the coach. Also, Emerson has been in a better form then Diarra.

    Booooooooo!:D

As a coach Capello should stop acting like Diarra pissed in the well, give him a finalcial punishment of 2000 € and thats that.

    Come on Cham!!

Proper punishment for complaining among players is getting benched for a month or more?

He didn't do anything illegal or malicious, he just complained about his coach which everyone does. The only difference is he was caught on camera, in fact he didn't even say all that much.

So is that your justice? I surely know you've complained about a teacher, how would you like if he/she failed you if they found out?

I agree with YoungStars87. By "punishing" Diarra he's relly compromising the team's chances at winning the league. Diarra is one of our best players and it is a fact that he's younger and faster than Emerson. Just because Cappello had Emerson at Juventus doesn't mean that he should take him to Madrid.

I see what you mean and i understand perfectly but whta Capello is doing is teaching Diarra a lesson, showing the whole squad that he is the Alpha and he is in charge, Something a coach should be.

But did you know that we lost every single time Diarra did not play?

It really puzzled me why Diarra had to complain Capello when he never got benched at all.

Here's the very video of Cassano and Diarra making fun of Capello and complained about the start-up line (it's always Raul, Emerson, Beckham etc). Ronaldo was there also but luckily he didn't make any comment or move.

It makes me laugh cause Cassano was so over the top! :D

Didn't RM lose away to Lyon with Diarra playing? And how about the loss to Getafe in October?

I meant the League and IIRC Diarra was subbed off 46 minute versus Getafe .. Alexis scored 60 minute.

I just checked the results and you are correct about the Getafe game. The weird thing is that I looked at the loss to Celta Vigo and the same phenomena happened there - the winning goal was scored after Diarra was removed. You might be on to something there.

No player in the world could have saved the day against Lyon, they are a very tough side. It must have been very hard for Diarra to face his ex team in their home.

I agree that he should be punished but not by benching him.

Diarra w/ potential and more adjustment time >>>>>>>>Emerson, if for no only reason than the speed/movement factor.

what a shame it would be to lose him, and for such a silly reason..
our future has to be built around him, ramos, robinho & casillas.

    our future:

    ------casillas-----
----4 defenders---- ramos & marcelo somewhere in there.
    ------2 CM's------ gago & diarra
    -winger----winger- robinho somewhere in there.
    --striker--striker-- higuain somewhere in there.

i mean, thats all that should be permanent or certain looking at our current squad.
there are quite a few more players who i couldve squeezed in there, like reyes perhaps? but we dont know whats gonna happen with him.
baptista perhaps? after that beasty performance against liverpool , a spot next to higuain wont be too far fetched? ;)
diogo maybe, if he puts his boxing gloves away.. i actually think he's good enough to start at RB for us. some may agree.. that would mean move ramos into the center of defence . with some1 fresh n new next to him.. alexis? mexes? chivu? u know.. some1 along those lines..
as for ughhh.. soldado, forget baptista n bring him in? higuain & soldado to supply the goals.. that way we'll probly hang on to reyes, him and robsin on the wings.. not too shabby i say..
all the others who fit into the:
" rauls, becks',ruuds, ronnies, emer's,salgados, carlos' " category should be flushed out. im excited already.. :D ahhhh, if only ey..

Baptista wouldn't flourish in that position. He had a cracker of a game today, played where he did well in the past......behind the strikers. He's not a player you can just move somewhere, we've already proven that last year.

Happy to see Baptista had a good day, let's see if he has a good season before we do our typical "knee-jerk" reaction and say "oooo, he scored four goals! Let's sign HIM (or bring him back in Julio's case).

What exactly does Baptista have left to prove? The 2nd half of last season he was on fire for us, and scoring 4 goals at Anfield against Liverpool, Carling Cup or not is a amazing effort. Anyway the better he performs for Arsenal, the harder it will be to bring him back.

I repeat, against todays Liverpool team, even Manchester City would have scored at least 4 tonight.Todays game was not a benchmark, and i say that as a Baptista supporter.
