I'm getting in for the hotel/tickets only portion. Anyone else from Northern Cali driving down? I'm already committed to driving and would be more than happy to carpool.
Did you send me an e-mail? One thing K didn't mention - this price is for double-occupancy for the rooms.
There's a ton of cheap 2 and 3 star businessman hotels in Torrance. I stayed at a Courtyard in Torrance for the WWC Final weekend. They normally charge $120/night for weekdays, but less than $70 on weekends. Plus they had free high speed internet. Talking to some other members of the press it sounded like there were quite a few hotels of that type right around that same area (Sepulveda and Crawford). It's about 10 miles south of the Airport and less than 10 miles from the stadium. Andy
We're paying a little more than $70 to stay in a 4 star (but under $100). Check out the amenities http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/hotels/...IX2VCQKIYFCXUUC?moreDesc=true&ctyhocn=LGBLHHH We also wanted to be near an area that had some stuff to do and had subway access if people wanted. Why don't you join us (we might even act like we know you!) K
Is that $70/room or $70/person? With 2 people, I'm paying $35/night. With 4 - $18/night. Plus there's the free internet!
JUST TWO FULL PACKAGES LEFT So if you want one, get a move on. If there's need for more we'll look into it. Airfare will be more so price will go up. K
When you say LA Subway, you really mean Long Beach light rail. This is not DC. Besides the transit mechanics union might still be on strike and the trains won't be running anyway. james
OK, so our beloved team won't be going, but don't let that stop you. There's going to be some fine soccer, sun, sand (and general boozing and carousing!) K
The best teams got in, should be a really good game. We have some packages available so contact Paul ASAP! K
------------------------------------- TV commercial: [Ray Hudson, on HDC sideline next season, talking to admiring onlooker] Onlooker: That was a great substitution you made earlier. And the lineup today is awesome. They're killing 'em out there. Did you get some advice from someone, have a thunderclap of inspiration ? What ? Ray: No, none uh that tat. But I DID stay at a local f****** Holiday Inn last night . . . . .
Bump There's an extra ticket, and there aren't enuff girls going yet ...... Come on ladies, leave that loser at home and come on out and have a good time with some DC fans ;-)
