Seeing the thread title, I thought this was about the condition of the pitch after the thunderstorm Saturday.

Just got back from the Swamp thing early this morning.

    Real Madrid-Roma.

It was worth the long drive.

Zidane was MOTM. Roberto Carlos was a close second.

Of course none of the newspapers carry the story, so I guess it never happened. ;)

70,000+ fans beg to differ! :)

The tailgate atmosphere was excellent. The first half was excellent, with a lot of passion shown by the fans.

The second half was a little long, and lot of people were upset with no goals, but it was a good game.

There were hundreds of different soccer jerseys worn at the game.

But I did not see one Metrostars kit or t-shirt.

I saw one DC United t-shirt. It was an inagural season t-shirt.

One Real Madrid fan in my section sold the Real Madrid t-shirt he was wearing for a $100 bucks.

I can't wait till I go back to see DC United!

So are folks putting in their reservations?

Now this will get ya: The Freedom have like 200 people taking a bus up to Philly on Sat for the playoff game. Now granted it's a playoff game but come on people, do we really want to be bested by Freedom fans?

Where did they get 200 people from? It's only to Philly too. But still you're right, we need to get people signed up for this trip to the Swamp. My money will be forth coming...
