Here are the many questions that arise from the schedule:

    - Setanta not showing the Liverpool - Chelsea game??? And therefore no live coverage?? Lets hope things change.

    - No live coverage on Setanta Canada but unlike Setanta USA, they will have ALL of the games on delayed basis.

    - No game scheduled for ESPN Classic on Wednesday, April 8th. Hmmm.

    - Lets hope TSN/TSN2 fill the gap left by Setanta Canada (schedules not out yet).

I'm just guessing (from past experience) that the ESPN listing is wrong...they always seem to initally list the same live match on all their stations. Also,I don't think Setanta and ESPN2 would be showing the same match live.

In any event, if you believe ESPN listings, then ESPN360 will be showing all four quarterfinals live.

This has to be wrong. Why would ESPN2 be showing Barcelona-Bayern and not Liverpool-Chelsea? I can't even imagine. In recent memory, ESPN has always shown EPL teams in Europe and I can't imagine this being any different. Maybe it's just a bit too early to get concerned about this.

ESPN has updated their listings....ESPN2 is showing Liverpool-Arsenal.

As for the Wednesday ESPN Classic game, the Masters Golf tournament is taking place that week and its more important that they show highlights from past masters than the CL game. For those who lament ESPN losing the CL to Fox, try to remember things like this and your dismay will be at least tempered.

And of course that's the only match I really want to see...oh schucks...

I need to switch to a provider that has 360 at least...I was using a remote VPN connection via my old school (since all Unis have access to 360), but they (the school) finally cancelled my username as i graduated last may...

I remember opening day/week games on during the daytime and not being able to run away from them on the dial - maybe by the 7th it wouldn't be a problem or maybe they're early enough.

fyi - the Red Sox - Rays baseball home opener that was supposed to be played today (and broadcast nationally on ESPN2) has been suspended until tomorrow at 4pm ET. I don't think it will affect the Man Utd - Porto match but stranger things have happened. I don't believe there's any live programming in the 4-7 timeslot on ESPN so that's an option - although it would bump all their pundit shows.

you have absolutely got to be shitting me. As a non-english fan, I have gotten used to the fact that ESPN and premiership are butt-buddies. I was under no delusion that barcelona-bayern game would be shown live. If you are non-english sides, you are beggars according to ESPN. And as we all know, beggars can't be choosers. BUT NOT EVEN ON TAPE DELAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me???!!!???

I'm glad ESPN lost the rights. Perhaps now some non-english sides can get in on the action and not be treated as the red-headed step-child.

Yep, a big fat F*ck You!:mad: to ESPN from me, too. Now my only hope lies in my wife recording the stream for me. Anyone know of a good way in case there's no good Sopcast stream?

Barca X Bayern Munich will be on ESPN Deportes and Setanta Sports USA, both live, not to mention the upteenth times of replay telecasts.

You got to be hsitting me....

Are you telling me that you don't have ESPN Deportes or Setanta Sports USA?

You got to be hsitting me....

You mean you are a European soccer fan in the US and here in 2009, when there are abundance of European soccer on FSC, ESPN Deportes, GolTV and Setanta Sports USA, yet you still rely on ESPN2 and ESPN Classic (the typical cheapo package, probably on digital cable) for European soccer?

You got to be hsitting me....

Here in 2009, you still do NOT deserve to watch the CL. Good that you can't get Barca X Bayern.

What happen to the claim that "when ESPN2 shows 2 live games per matchday, there will be no more complaints"? Live matches ESPN2 shows this MD:

    Tue: Man U X Porto
    Wed: Liverpool X Chelsea

Listen you muppet, countless people have had the same argument with you over and over again. You are not gonna change our mind, and it's quite clear that people here won't change yours. So ******** off you bouchedag.

And for your information, I have fox soccer channel and all the ESPN channels. I would have gol tv too if dish network still offered it. Excuse me if I don't have the dough to get espn deportes considering I don't speak spanish and don't feel like dropping another $10-15 a month just to see the occasional champions league game.

Perhaps when I'm wealthy like you, I can afford to get about 10,000 channels just so I can see champions league.

I don't ask for much. Like I said, I was under no delusion that bayern-barca would be shown live. But considering espn, espn 2, and espn classic has been offering a wide selection of champions league game this year, it's not unrealistic to expect that they would atleast show the game on tape delay on one of those 3 channels. It's one thing to wait a couple of hours to watch the game. but they won't be showing the bayern game until late the next day. That's just ridiculous.

Then you are not a fan, it's that simple. So did you see the following World Cup quals last week?

Israel X Greece, Portugal X Sweden, Lithuania X France, Turkey X Spain, Greece X Israel?

Of course not, you don't have Setanta...

Yeah, all those regular posters here who watch games on Setanta or ESPN Deportes are wealthy and get 10000 channels. What kind of grass are you smoking?

$15 a month. $15 can get you no more than a beer and a burger when watching the games in the pub. Are you telling me you have a Dish package yet you can't afford $15 a month?

The simple truth is that you didn't choose your package carefully to be a real football fan.

Sure it's unrealistic. I mean, at this day and age that almost all Champions League games are televised in the U.S., there are still people whining that games such and such are not on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPN Classic. Rewind back 5 seasons ago, when there was no Setanta or ESPN Deportes, people were complaining about only 1 game per MD on ESPN2.

This is so idiotic that it isn't even funny...
