Re: pele..... A genius in the field of game, but Pelé definitely does not measure the impact of his words lately. I can't believe he really means those things. He seems worried with Romário's apparent lack of self respect and gives a certain impression of being concerned with Ronaldo's overweight and how it affects his game. But at the same time it sounds so arrogant. There's a subtle suggestion in all of these statements and I don't like it.

Re: Pele Edson Arantes do Nascimento I imagine he has an African background...with maybe....but probably not....a splash of Portuguese in him. The Portuguese colonized Brazil which had Black slaves, so they would mix on accasion. Im not sure that happened with Peles anscestors though.
Re: Pele Partly because there is not the same fixation with heritage that their is in the US. I'm sure that a thorough biography would cover it though, check your library for biographies of him.
