Anyone know how soon before it hits Region 1 (North America)? Or will it be the edited version that I read about on this board earlier?

It's supposed to be released in theaters here, so it'll be a while.

Even tho it says region 4 it should work in the US. Most Brazilian DVDs work here even if it says region 4 on the website.

Pele's 1958 World Cup final shirt goes under the hammer

LONDON, Sept 17 (Reuters) - The shirt worn by 17-year-old Pele when he scored two goals for Brazil in the 1958 World Cup final against Sweden is set to raise up to 100,000 pounds ($180,000) when it is sold at auction next week.

The blue, short-sleeved, v-necked shirt with Pele's number 10 on the back will be sold at Christie's in London on Tuesday.

    Re: pele.....

A genius in the field of game, but Pelé definitely does not measure the impact of his words lately. I can't believe he really means those things. He seems worried with Romário's apparent lack of self respect and gives a certain impression of being concerned with Ronaldo's overweight and how it affects his game. But at the same time it sounds so arrogant. There's a subtle suggestion in all of these statements and I don't like it.

Sorry, but for me it still seems an old political trick, to say something bad only to deny it in the next minute with a big smile and get away with it. :)

    Edson Arantes do Nascimento

I imagine he has an African background...with maybe....but probably not....a splash of Portuguese in him.

The Portuguese colonized Brazil which had Black slaves, so they would mix on accasion. Im not sure that happened with Peles anscestors though.

    Re: Pele

Partly because there is not the same fixation with heritage that their is in the US. I'm sure that a thorough biography would cover it though, check your library for biographies of him.
