I can't help but think it's pretty stupid Gamba and Adelaide will probably face off again.

Anyway, should be an easy game since Gamba is still cashed-up and will surely spend the big bucks to get Messi. :p

Messi? Nah, I heard rumours that Ronaldo is going to ditch Manchester for Osaka. I hear we are offering him a gazillion yen (just a few thousand less than what we pay Endo).

I also heard that Tevez will join Fagiano Okayama, they're a J.League team now so they're pretty cashed-up as a result. :p

I hope we beat Adelaide again, for their own sakes; if they think Gamba are a cashed-up club then their hearts may stop beating if they come face-to-face with a real cashed-up club like United,

its unfair Gamba has to meet Man Utd if they win their game. Im sure Gamba could have a chance at beating Quito in the other semifinal, but that we'll never know now. Pachuca and Man Ut seems like the best teams, with Gamba as the 3rd best.

Basse, Gamba-Man Utd is the game the whole of Japan wants to see.
    Me too, actually...

Which is why, amongst all these transfer dealings, I get this sick feeling in my stomach that they might lose 1-0 to Adelaide.

I don't have the link handy, but it looks like Adelaide's going to be fielding a second tier team again. Bye bye chances of finally giving Gamba that deserved "good match" I've been talking about.

I think it's the other way around.

United will be strengthened by the fact that Alemao and Jonas Sally with both feature in the squad after neither were eligible for the AFC Champions League.

I am wondering how seriously will Man Utd take this. Sure Fergie wants to win everything, but what about the jet-lagged players?

Well they're taking a full-strength squad with them so I think they're taking it quite seriously. Their next game after the final match on the 21st is away at Stoke on the 26th so that gives them a bit of time to recover. It may have been a different story if they were playing someone like Chelsea though, haha.

I'd just happy seeing Gamba in such top-quality company; nobody would expect us to go and win it so we could play our game without any worries,

Actually I made a mistake. I misread the article I had posted in another thread and it's the exact opposite. Bar one injury, Adelaide ought to be fielding a decent team.

They are hardly "fuming" as alluded to in the headline. "Not especially happy" would be more accurate, but why should a small thing like the truth get in the way of a nice story?

Are the balls cashed-up or something? Is the one ball getting paid more for this match than Adelaide's entire team for the whole tournament? :D

In all seriousness, players are always moaning about balls these days, Everybody plays with the same ball so where's the headline news about Waitakere's players moaning?

Just watched the second half of the Adelaide-Waitakere match. Adelaide came back from 1-0 down to win it 2-1 but they looked dreadful and really struggled. If they play like that against Gamba on Sunday then it's gonna be a repeat of the ACL final.
