    Calling all Artistic/Creative Wizards fans!

We have decided to create a new Cauldron scarf this season (it's been a couple of years since we have done a new design), and I am looking to the masses for scarf ideas…the sooner, the better.

Please use this thread to post your ideas and to supply CONSTRUCTIVE feedback to ideas posted. If you have the skills to do a mockup, great! If not, just post your ideas and maybe someone with some time and the skills can make a mockup of your ideas.

Lets create something special to commemorate our upcoming two (hopeful) years at CAB, and our final seasons without a permanent home.

well if you want something to commemorate the years at CAB, I'd suggest putting those initals, or something about the T-Bones on the scarf...

Or maybe put, "Welcome to the Boneyard" on one side...

if we're going to commemorate CAB, shouldn't it be after we've played there? i'm not saying i'm against doing another scarf, but maybe waiting until next year would be better?

'course, we could do one this year and next year.;)

I loved the last design, the colors, fonts, and everything was perfect!

    I will buy a couple!

Should this be a "Wizards" scarf or a "Cauldron" scarf? If I don't ask Beech will? ;)

Has an MLS team ( dis-regarding franchise moves, sanjose-houston) ever played home games in two different states? There might be something there to think about slogan wise.

It's a Cauldron scarf, but it's not restricted to the Cauldron only...as we have seen in the past. For that reason, I chose to open this thread in the main forum rather than the supporter sub-forum.

    Excellent point....MOKAN or ONE-KC.....:D

Well it's sure to be moved now!! ;)

I can't remember whether the name "Cauldron" was on any previous scarves?

What came to my mind is having one side say wizards, much like the current scarf, and on the other side having an outline of the two states with a star where kansas city would be and then underneath that have it say "There's Only One Kansas City"

...and have the Wizards logo on either end of the scarf on the same side.

Should we wait for our new kits before we design a new scarf? If the kits are going to include another color as was rumored, it'd be good to have that represented in the scarf as well.

That's a thought I had as well. In order to have the scarves available by our home-opener, we would need to have the "print ready" image finalized and sent by mid-Feb. So, I guess it depends on when we see the new kit.

What are the dimensions of the scarves, for those of us that might want to do some mock-ups?

Re: New Cauldron scarf for 2008/2009

As a side note, if a MOD would like to change the thread title to read "Supporter scarf" instead of Cauldron scarf. Bad choice of name on my part. I'm not talking about making some new scarf that we've never done before. This is just to be the newest version of our Supporter Scarf that we sell through the Cauldron. The current scarf is a couple of years old, and I suspect we will create a new one upon moving into our permanent home in 2010. So we had been tossing around creating a new scarf to cover 2008 & 2009....that's all this is, nothing out of the ordinary. Sorry for any confusion.

I dont think that counts as playing in two states.
NewYork/NewJersey. Haven't they only played home games in New Jersey at the Meadowlands?

Here's the last design for reference, and for those that want a template.

I've always been partial to bar scarves my self.

I'd delete the Wizards side, and replace it with a bar design.

Also, rework the Kansas City Side to reflect any new colors and put "welcome to the boneyard" instead of wizards till I die.

    Just a suggestion...

Mark, while the MetroTurds were called "New York/New Jersey", they never actually played any games in New York State, to my knowledge. I think that's what he meant.

I like the "bar scarf". Mas azul y blanco.

Anyway, I'm always the decided majority in this request, but some of us do wear dress attire for work and occasions etc. A scaft of a longer and thinner design, with a smaller weave to better mesh with a topcoat or trenchcoat would at least be something different than the norm.

The MetroStars played a home US Open Cup game on Long Island (as part of a doubleheader with a WUSA game).

DC United has played numerous home US Open Cup and CONCACAF games in Germantown, Maryland. I can't remember any competitive games they've been the home team in Virginia for.

The New England Revolution has played "home" CONCACAF Cup games in Bermuda and Costa Rica.

The Kansas City Wizards have played home US Open Cup games at Blue Valley in Kansas.

So I guess the new scarf should just say, "Kansas Wizards."

I like the bars as well. Simple and classy. I wish this were the FO doing this and not us, much rather be giving my money to them.
