He'd get fired from Mcdonalds for screwing up the orders.

    "I wanted a McMuffin and you gave me Mcbride. I wanted a #2 combo not a #3, #6 and #1!?"

I'm with Wynalda on this one. I think his time as USA manager is over.

    I agree.

Best winning percentage of any US Coach, ever.

But, 3 and out = Bruce goes.

Thanks for 2002, good luck in the future. Bring on Klinsman.

He blamed the world cup on Bruce and his managing.

Said it was time to move on and get a new coach....Wynalda was pissed.

So I guess we all owe him that the world is laughing at us now? Three and out of World Cup? We owe him for that? We owe him for forever labeling the 1-5-4 lineup as Arena's Folly? We owe him for that?

Don't get me wrong. Bruce Arena is far and away the best and most important coach in US soccer history. That's no question. That being said, 8 years is a long time to keep your job as the coach of any country. We need a change. We need a fresh look. We need to look at younger players and maybe change the way US soccer is played.

I don't really owe anything to Arena. He has made me suffer this World Cup. I do apperciate his "accomplishments". But, there are alot of other coaches who could of done the same thing with the ammount of talent we had. Alot that could of done better. Arena hasn't done anything amazing over his tenure. He gets alot of undue credit for the rise of US soccer. Alot of that credit goes to MLS. A league that Arena has bashed.

Go with a foreign coach who has won on the big stage. Virginia, D.C. United. Not the big stage. We have to go with a coach who has won in the EPL or Serie A. Or somewhere where it means something.

None of this American coach B.S. Our coaching tatics are not up to par. Teams that have a obsession with hiring domestic coaches suffer when the domestic coaches do not have the talent. Poland to name another one.

Its just simply the right time. Arena has done a terrific job of getting this team to the next level. However, it seemed to me that he was holding our guys back and not letting them play our game. But we need to get to the NEXT level and I dont think he is capable of doing it. We need a much more technical minded coach IMO, someone who stresses first touch, passing, triangles, basically the technical basics that are so important. I think the Bruce shot himself in the foot. He seemed so concerned with his own tactics and forgot to let his team play. In 2010 I want us to play our game and not worry so damn much about whoever else is in the group. Play our best formation and go with it, Im tired of all the excuses and poor results against top competition. Why go with a 4-5-1 when it in no way plays to our strenghts?? Because he was planning against the teams in our group and not planning for OUR team. In other words, more concerned about the opposition and less about his own team. Thanks Bruce its been a great run and good luck elsewhere.

Some of you guys are being ridiculous. BRUCE ARENA IS THE GREATEST US MANAGER OF ALL TIME! IT ISN'T EVEN CLOSE!

I don't know if Arena will be back, but I respect him regardless, and think he will do well wherever he goes. He has taken soccer in the US very far in his 8 years as manager. Attacking him is ridiculous, like it or not we were the least talented team in the group. He may have made some poor decisions, but a lot of it rests on shit players like Landon Donovan.
