WooHoo - I actually know about 13 songs on that list. And here I thought all of you music snobs never listen to stuff that I have heard of before.
What no "Wheels on the Bus..."? I'm disappointed at your anti-children attitude. You should be ashamed of yourself! How can the Screaming Eagles promote a kid-friendly, Overbearing Parent atmosphere without including such classics as "Wheels on the Bus..." and "Old McDonald had a farm"? For shame!!!
hmmm shouldn't the king of texas music have a song? new san antonio rose anyone? sorry as a non-member i've got no standing here.
Not bad, but that reminds me that I really need to add "Martini Time" to the tracks that get played every week. That and "Cha Cha Cha" by Jimmy Luxury.
I am shocked and offended that "Do You Know The Way To San Jose" is not on this list. Edited to say that I just sent it to you, as well as some other songs by various DC music legends.
Aargh. Oh man, I should have thought of this. Actually, maybe that can be our stadium banner this week.
I was thinking we can sing the title and, instead of saying "Whoa whoa whoa" we can say, "No, no, no."
I'm assuming there will be music again at the tailgate this week. I hardly noticed it at the last game. I thought this system was going to own Lot 8?
Paul is working on the next playlist and as long as it's not raining we'll have the system. As it was the first time last tgate we're still working out how loud and where it should be set up (hey Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager didn't build Studio 54 in one day!) K
Well, owning Lot 8 will require more than just that system - its a great system and goes clear to about 100-125 yards, but its still a self-contained portable deal. We set it up last time by the fence so that it wouldn't be in anyone's ear and would be out of the way, and a lot of the bass went straight into the ground. As it turns out, unless you're right next to the speaker, being 5 feet away and 40 feet away from the system isn't much different for sound volume. So we're going to experiment with setting it up somewhere else - a more central location - this time. Long term I'm going to look for an easy setup table or platform I can stick it on - the bottom speaker is supposed to be set up a few feet off the ground for maximum effect. The system was created for use at small outdoor concerts with a stage. I'll post the new playlist tonight - I was working on getting some new tracks in there last night, and it should be all done and ready to post by 9:00 or so tonight.
I don't have the whole album either, although I understand that a certain Coup-avatar-using DC fan Mod does. Like I said, new playlist tonight.
It is also a question of novelty... many folks who arrived at the tailgate area were not aware there was going to be musical accompaniment so they did what they always have done in the past. I am especially thinking of the enormous truck with outfitted with the ghetto blaster system from hell that was parked, oh about 20 feet from the membership table. I think over time folks will get the picture...
No, I like loud music as much as the next guy (just ask my darling wife about my hearing loss )... what I find troublesome is seven different music systems blaring loud music within close proximity. ca·coph·o·ny n. pl. ca·coph·o·nies Jarring, discordant sound; dissonance: heard a cacophony of horns during the traffic jam. The use of harsh or discordant sounds in literary composition, as for poetic effect. sorth of like the attitude I have for all those darn plastic horns that used to blare on youth soccer nights at RFK
