    "Peter is counting the days"?

What does he know that we don't? Four points in two matches is nothing to sneeze at ...

I interpreted that as meaning "Peter is counting the days until Ellinger is fired" -- i.e., that Nowak is not an Ellinger fan.

Interesting stuff. The July 19th friendly at RFK is likely to be against a European team. Also, there is an "outside chance" of an August friendly against a "big name" at FedEx Field, although not with Barcelona.

Honestly, I enjoyed the Aguila and Municipal games, but if they want to bring in an even stronger club, even better.

Don't feel bad, that was my initial reaction, immediately followed by "wt flying f?", immediately followed by that's gotta mean something else, almost immediately followed by me figuring out what he meant.

"For his age, he is extraordinary

There are a hundred Freddys in Brazil."

    This is a contradiction.

Not really. It just means that there are a hundred kids in Brazil that are extraordinary for their age. Not completely improbable.

Having been numerous times to Brazil, it is no rumor -- there are lots of players among the 100+ million people there. Many are quite above average. :)

In fact, I'd say about 50 percent of them are above average.

Sorry, but that post-fix is a sitter that even Ali Curtis wouldn't miss.

Don't make me get all stats-nerd on you.

I was a little confused by this:

Washington, D.C.: Who will be the first MLS coach fired this year, Ellinger or Clavijo?

Steven Goff: You mean Ellinger hasn't been fired yet?

Nowak is counting down the days.

What does he mean by "nowak is counting down the days"?

    No it's not - it's a city in Columbia.

In New Orleans we called those things "neutral grounds." I was 9 or 10 before I ever heard anyone call them medians.

It's a city in Pennsylvania and Bobby Convey's address, but that's not important right now.

    HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!1

    gasp, [weeze] gasp...

    HAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH

Ali was faster than a goose sh1t slicked run: run by oil covered birch logs.
but he had neither foot, just funny.
