I hope this invite went to the players, coaches, and staff of the team as well. It would be great to see some of them there as well. If I was told my job was moving to Houston, you'd be damn sure I'd be drinking myself silly at the Brit, so, maybe they'll be there even without the invite...
Well, I hope a lot of you can make it. I think it will be a good time and a great opportunity for you all to get some answers from us. If I drink enough before the Q & A you just might get a little more out of me Looking forward to getting together with you all tomorrow. -Tony Huston SSV Founder
Tony, you bet that I'll do everything in my power to be there tomorrow - I do have a prior commitment I've been trying to get out of all day. My partner in all things Quakes, my son, won't be there because he's got a HS game at noon. He's bummed about not being able to go but he wants me to go. So, (hopefully) see you tomorrow!!
For those of you who won't be able to make it, post your questions to the SSV blog and we'll answer them next week.
I'm going to try to make it, but it's short notice and we have a pretty long to-do list for the holidays. My wife's car is in for service so we're trying to arrange things with one car, but we will try to schedule a stop in downtown SJ in the afternoon. Those of you non-SSV types who are there, make sure those SSV guys don't buy any of their own drinks.
I'm six thousand miles away and even support another team, but I'll be thinking of you. Fight back guys!! Oh, and er...if you get a spare minute in front of your computer, try googling AFC Wimbledon, you may be inspired.
can't make it, but would truly love to be there to commiserate and plan for what is ahead... for those of us unable to attend, can someone post a overview oh what went on please?
I can't be there as I have family in town. Jay, would you also be able to lay out the answers to some of the FAQs that come up at the meeting today in the blog? I would love to be able to read the whole story since I can't make it. Brad
Wish I could be there but will be watching my son's freshman team play soccer up in San Mateo at that time! Musho Clash y Viva Er Beti Manque Lopera! Er Pichi
There are entrances to the Brit on Sta. Clara St. and on Almaden. You can park on Almaden, near the (former) Quakes office; I don't think you have to feed meters today. There's also a free garage on San Pedro, just off Sta. Clara St.
Just back from WFTQ (it may still be on, but we had to leave at 2:30)--about 50 people including Johnny Moore and the founders, who gave us a lot of info and answered many questions. Confirmed some of the rumors and provided new bits of information. We'll have more direction (what's next) after the holidays.
I couldn't make it either. Be nice to know what was mentioned. Just a constructive tip--a week's notice would be a better sell. Didn't help that it was wet as hell today... I'll make the effort to head over if there will be any more meetings and so forth. Thanks gang!
