In alphabetical order (kinda). The max for a poll is 16 options so I had to leave out some choices. If it is not on this list, please vote for Other.

    Lone Star Houston
    Houston Apollos
    Houston Eagles
    Houston FC
    Houston Generals
    Houston Independence
    Houston International

    Houston Rangers

I'm a big fan of the Republic name.

2006 Republic sounds the best to me, and it seems practical.

    quit being nosy...
Out of the ones listed above, I like Eagles. If I had a say I would add "Jaguars" as an option. It's not Texas specific, but I like the way Houston Jaguars sounds. But anyway, congrats on the new team....it's about time! I never understood why Houston didn't have a team...strong soccer community, diverse population...

The Alamo took place in San Antonio I think. If a regional name is in order then it might work, but San Antonio is a few hours from Houston.

Being a Houstonian, but a Manchester United fan, I am quite excited. . . Hopefully United will roll around on a American Tour to Houston..

I don't see why people want such a "graphic" name.. Toros, Alamos (?), Apollos..

I like Sporting Houston (and it's not like Lisbon is gonna care THAT much), Houston International is an obvious rip of Inter, AC Houston really makes no sense to me. FC Houston is exactly like FC Dallas, and Houston United has no ring to it (Manchester United and DC United really do..).

Real is not reel, its Re'al, so Real (pronounced REEEL) Salt Lake is a terrible name. Real Houston doesn't work either. . .

Rovers and Wanderers might be interesting, but it doesn't roll off the tongue so well. I hope we don't get something cheesy with a cartoon face and all that..

I hope we get some nice colors too, Red, White and Blue, is kinda bleh, and New England's kit is already like that. I am no major MLS buff here, but I like the Red-Black-White strip (but maybe the Chicago Fire have that -- it would make sense .. and I've never seen them play..).

I am really excited to see what they come up with though, either way, I'll support the hell out of them.

It would be nice if they had legit mexican food at the concession. Nothing like killer tacos to down at a game.

I personally like FC Houston. Who cares Dallas is already FC Dallas. Just add the Eagles to it to make it, FC Houston Eagles.
