1. A maximum of 2 threads per day from any one user. 2. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. Use my handy "play the ball, not the man" analogy if you're having trouble with it. 3. No OT posts in threads, no thread jacking. This has become (less) of a problem recently, but still an issue. 4. No "Link Dumps". No starting threads with a link, a cut & paste of the cited material, and nothing else. This does not give subsequent posters a chance to "play the ball". Add your own input on the issue. A one or 2 sentence summary of what you've already pasted does not facilitate further civil discussion. Obvious breaking news (natural disasters, attacks, etc) will be given EXTREME latitude here, but nothing else. These rules are not set in stone, but they are the rules as of this moment. The feedback I have received so far has been mostly positive, and I hope we can continue our current course.
No, you can link and cite, but you need to add something to it. Your reasons for believing the link, your reason for not believing it, whatever, just something other than "This is dandy!" or "What kind of idiot believes this?"
Coach: I guess I understand #4 clearer now; as written I have no objection to it! #1 and #3 are great; I support these too. But for #2, if someone threatens my life, or threatens to burn down my house via PM, what am I to do?
That's different. Physical threats are an immediate red card. Forward the offending PM to the nearest available mod to be handled...
