Thought we'd go with the all-purpose threads, once again, after what we had last week. Here are this weekend's upcoming fixtures: Friday, August 5 St. Kilda v Geelong -- at Telstra Dome, 7:30 p.m. Melbourne time Saturday, August 6 Adelaide v Melbourne -- at AAMI Stadium, 2 p.m. Adelaide time (2:30 p.m. in Melbourne) Western Bulldogs v West Coast -- at the MCG, 2 p.m. Melbourne time Fremantle v Richmond -- at Subiaco Oval, 2 p.m. Perth time (4 p.m. in Melbourne) Essendon v Sydney -- at Telstra Dome, 7 p.m. Melbourne time Sunday, August 7 Brisbane v Hawthorn -- at The Gabba, 1 p.m. Brisbane time Carlton v Port Adelaide -- at the MCG, 2 p.m. Melbourne time Collingwood v North Melbourne -- at Telstra Dome, 2 p.m. Melbourne time And I'll be working all three Telstra Dome games this weekend. For those in the tipping competition, post your tips below. Otherwise, all the news, ladders and stats of the week will also be recorded within.

Melbourne and Richmond, thought to be shoo-ins earlier in the season for finals footy, now find themselves on the outside looking inward. Carlton beating Richmond yesterday, combined with Hawthorn losing to West Coast the day before, can mean only one thing... the contest for the wooden spoon is back on. Realistically, there are 11 clubs contesting the top eight spots with four weeks to go.

It's been ages since I've been here. Caught a brief glimpse of the ladder and Couldn't believe what's happened the Cats. :O
Let's just say it's been a rough month, with going from "premiership favorites" to "may not make the finals". A long list of injuries can only be partially to blame, but it hasn't helped. All I have to say is this: If you think "a week is a long time in footy", try three weeks, and imagine how long that must feel. This thing is far from over.
i was in sufers for only the day/night, so i don't know. i know here in Tweed (nsw, just south of the queensland border) they show all of them but most people play League.
I am happy that I got 6 right. I even sent Will a couple of messages. One was to give him heaps and one to tell him how many tips I got right.
Suz, I wish you wouldn't text me while I'm working. Some of us get easily distracted by it all. Scores of 6 seemed to be about the norm for the weekend -- maybe it's quite possible that at this point in the season, that some of us are finally figuring out the form books for some of these teams...
