The only good thing about this is that if Japan can get through to the next round then at least some of those teams will be gone.

Win the 3 home games and 1 away game and we are through. Even one draw away will probably get us through. It should not be a problem as long as we do not slip up at home.

well not to be the bearer of bad news or anything but Yuto Nagatomo, dislocated his shoulder in the friendly against Celtic earlier today. It appears to be serious

    No experimenting please.......

Well at least one game will be a neutral match right?

Isn't North Korea's "home" considered China? That's hopefully where the "away" win will come.

if they behave themselves, they'll play that game in front of their 'great leader'

so now im guessing jnt will play their full squad against us in preparation for qualification ?

Korea DPK seems to always give us trouble, there's more to the game, but national pride as well, and unfortunely, hatred.
Syria trouble us a little in the Asian Cup 2011.
Uzbekistan, well I don't know anything about them except that they were in the TOP 4, losing out to Australia in the Semi-finals and S. Korea in the 3rd-place match.

I hope Japan can get through.
What is our stats against them, anyway. btw, is Korea DPK as strong as Korea Rep.?

And I hope Nagatomo get well soon. He's one of the best Side-back. And will be key to Japan's.

I heard that Zacc chose all domestic players in the upcoming game against S. Korea. So he's testing out new players, huh? Given that Europe's starting their season early, but also have grasp the abilities of his regulars, he's trying out new players.
I wish them well in the Intl. Friendly against South Korea on August 10th, 2011.

no, japan already chose their squad against us. and your coach chose all the jnt's regular european based players against us.

some for us, as well minus lee chungyong who suffered a broken leg today and will likely be out for quite sometime.

The official squad for Japan is not out yet.

They only sent out the letters to European clubs. Nothing is official yet.

It could be a domestic squad, we don't know yet.

Read on 2ch that after J League was created its
    3W1L1T vs N. Korea
    5W0L2T vs Uzbekistan
    4W0L0T vs Syria

    S. Korea is a much stronger side.

Of course. It's only that for S.Korea we are the arch-rivals while for N. Korea we are arch-enemies of the state... that is always going to be like playing with one man down.

I'm more worried about Uzbekistan than DR Korea. You know, when two of the four best teams in continental competition are in the same group it's always hard as hell. But they should make it without a doubt. But with this group the place in the final round could be uncertain until last games. But probably not much grassrolling on the good side!

Tricky draw for Japan, probably the toughest of all five groups. But they should advance fairly easily. While DPRK and Uzi are nothing to be scoffed at, there's just way too much quality in the Japanese Men's National Team at the moment.

I actually don't see Japan losing to any of those teams, and believe they will wrap this thing up before the last in-group round.

You know, Japan haven't played a real, competitive game after AC finals after all. So this one should be all-out and considering South Korea got their 'best' squad for the game I doubt it JFA will show 'disrespect' towards this fact.
I don't see it as well but after all football is football :)

Re: Official 2011 Japanese NT Thread [R]

    No they don't

    Some players might opt out.

Those who aren't getting playing time at their clubs may skip in order to improve their chances.

Players like Kagawa might skip because they don't want to get injured before the season starts.

Some players might be playing with the Olympic squad instead (Miyaichi, Usami)

Calm down and wait until the official list comes out. Until then its all speculation.

Yes they do. If they are called up, they have to come unless they say they are "injured." Whether they will be called up or what squad they will be called up is another story.

Re: Official 2011 Japanese NT Thread [R]

If they are called up its because they told Zac that they want to go and Zac wants them.

If they are not called up it means that either Zac did not want them or they told Zac that they don't want to go.

    It's that simple

I don't think Zac calls every player up to see if they want to play...

but right, if they are called up, they are coming...which is what heyheyhe11 said.
