So, I know you've got an opinion on this one......

Full Disclosure - we are trying, not going to reach, and in a perfect world get a 3-year player, minimum.....might not be possible.

.... in that vein I will take Lionel Messi.

Henry is gonna be cut free by Barci - worth a shot if just to drive his price up :D Dani from Real Madrid ... William Gallas is out of contract.

I dont have any specific names. What I want is a younger player and not an aging star using MLS as a retirement league. I want someone that is here to play and actually care about winning and not collecting some last minute paycheck before retirement. I want someone that is going to gel with the team and have some loyalty and not jet if a European offer comes along.

I really have no idea, but I would think it would need to be about a 30 year old player who is a dangerous attacker.

Getting a young goal scorer to come to the MLS and specifically KC is going to be nearly impossible imo...

Simple.....I want somebody who can score on a regular basis, or set up some scoring. Options are WIDE open on my request. :D

Also ditto on Felixx's comments below.

might be able to get Peter Crouch?

Adriano (Leite Ribeiro).... He is 28, a goal scorer w/ size, and isnt in the running for a roster spot in 2014. He might be a bit miff'd at being left off this summers squad which could help get him out of Brazil.

First off I agree w/ Felix, no retirement league please. Otherwise a lot of my first choices are in several year contracts already and of course with the DP role its very much about marketing ability so...

(Dream Pick) I would still like to see Arjen Robben play... or Philip Lahm.
(Marketing Pick) A forward from Central or South America... aka fan base.
(Business Pick) Wait until next year with the new stadium and find the right fit. Most potential DP's will not want to play at CAB for a year.

Robben would be good. I would also like Miroslav Close. An Essien type would also work well for the Wizards. OR HOW ABOUT ALL 3!

Our weakest point right now is our right wing, Kamara and Wolff are both better centrally, and Myers isn't a starter there. So get us a right winger for a DP.

As much as I like Joe Cole, J Cole != Messi.

Though I agree that neither are coming to America anytime soon so the point is moot anyway.

Whomever we get, I'd like someone who is good at dribbling at people... that's my favorite thing to watch, with a close second being beautiful passing and third, amazingly enough, beautiful goals.

or an attacking mid and have Davy move to RW. I agree though, RW is our weakest attacking spot and might be the weakest spot on our roster

Trezuguet, Del Piero, Cambiasso, all ageing stars out of contract soon that could really kill in MLS

Juninho Pernambucano. Would really cause teams to change the tactic of fouling us to slow down our play.

Arjen Robben is in his mid-20s and in his prime years. It's not happening.

I think Robb wants realistic feedback.

Honestly, I dont want a huge name. I know that helps OnGoal's bottom line but I think a huge name that creates a circus only causes unnecessary distraction for the team.

Get someone who is known but not a huge name. Someone that is in their mid to late 20s that can contribute for several years. Someone that doesnt have an ego and will appreciate living in Kansas City.

Steven Pienaar. Word is that he may be on the way out at Everton.

He normally does not play up front but has the skill set that he could make that transition in MLS.

Joaquin Sanchez of Valencia? I'm not sure about his contract status, but he's been with Valencia for a while. He's 28, a quick right-winger that can pass on a dime, no longer in the national team picture and starting to lose playing time to a younger Pablo Hernandez. Also, Fernando Morientes is out of contract this summer.

Pienaar is staying in England, even if he's on his way out at Everton I can't see another EPL not going after him.

Well, if we want a right winger who can dribble at people and is fun to watch, I say we take a look at Kader Keita. He's 28 and plays for Galatasaray.

not exactly a sexy pick but, Cristian Bolanos is playing in Norway and is extremely talented and only 25, he doesnt have to worry about playing in big leagues in Europe to be a starter on his national team either. He could be a very cheap DP that still has many great years ahead of him.

    Donovan? ;)

Also, based solely on name: Jan Johannes Vennegoor of Hesselink.
